Lots of butcher blocks in stock!
Here is bow to finish them:
- Round over edges (we like to use 1/4” router bit)
- Sand between 320 - 600g (they are already sanded to 120g)
- Finish with Walrus Cutting board oil
- Allow it to dry for 12-24 hours. Wipe down excess oil and Enjoy!
I really love working with Walnut it is just such a beautiful wood, a bit tough to work with but work it. I've started putting a wax signature on my peices now just for a bit more originality I guess. The red on the tulip deffintly stands out, shame it is on the back of these bedside tables, maybe it is somthing to keep in mind for future projects.

Did you ever learn something kinda gross and then immediately wish you could unlearn it? That's how I felt when I learned how much bacteria can live on cutting boards. My biology teacher husband shared this fun little tidbit with me while I was cutting up some vegetables for the girls and I immediately started looking for a safer cutting board.
Our new @johnboosco cutting board is made of hard rock solid maple, which contains a natural enzyme to inhibit bacteria growth. We sealed it with the Boos Block Antimicrobial oil and cream and it's now hyrdophobic too!
Now that I've found my perfect cutting board, I want to everyone else to have one too! So, John Boos & Co. and I are giving one away!
