Handsome assistant Charles frequently enjoys posing with our thin blue line Canadian wooden sign. This style is available with or without the line. Know a firefighter in your life? We can craft it with a red line. 🚒 👮 🚑
As assistant Charles always says "personalize it, and make it your own". So we took his advice and are happy to add a badge number! ♥
Canadian WWII poster supporting the war effort and the buying of victory bonds. Notice the three headed maple leafs on the shield on the flag. The famous and very recognizable modern Canadian flag wouldn’t come into existence until 1965.
Today everyone here in Toronto celebrated Canada Day! July 1st is when Canada was formed 153 years ago! It's one of the biggest celebrations in the country and this one was a little unusual, due to the pandemic! Getting to learn so many things about the history of this country while we're here!
According to historians, the maple leaf became a symbol of Canada as early as the 1700s. It's because the indigenous people discovered the use of maple sap. Maples contribute valuable wood products and sustain the maple sugar industry; described as "the king of our forest; the symbol of the Canadian people."
Here is my version of the maple leaf, made on @ayushpaper gray sketchbook, with brushpens and microns!
May this half of the year heal us, in ways more than one! Love and light! ✨🍁
