We know how amazing our employees are so we want the community to get to know them as well. So without further ado....meet our Lead Radiology Technician, Ruby Mathews!
We asked Ruby a few questions so you can get to know her better:
Q: What do you do in your free time?
A: In my free time I enjoy curling up on the couch with a good book. On my weekends off I enjoy going to brunch with my boyfriend, walking around half priced books, and trying out new restaurants with my siblings. Travel is also something I am passionate about so experiencing new places, people, and cultures is important to me.
Q: How do you feel about pineapple on pizza?
A: I love pizza and I love pineapple but I am a firm believer pineapple does NOT belong on pizza.
Q: What is the best party about working at Trusted ER - Uptown?
A: The best part about working at Trusted ER uptown is our patient demographic. I enjoy getting to know the community and their needs and being able to be here for them. I also love the atmosphere we have at Uptown. We are a team and enjoy spending time together and getting to know one another in our down time.
Q: What would you like our community to know?
A: I would like the community to know that we think every single person that walks in here is important. We want to be here for you in any way you need us to be and in ways you didn’t know you needed. Everything from offering water and snacks to the best medical interventions for your health is a priority to us. We want our patients and their families to know they matter.

Meet Jamie! She is our lead nail technician here at the Spa at Riverview! •
💅🏽“How long have you been working at the Spa?” I started 4 years ago at the front desk and then moved into our nail room. •
💅🏽”How long have you been a nail technician?” I have had my nail license for 5 years now! •
💅🏽”What is your must-have Farmhouse Fresh product?” Sunflower Honey Butter! 🍯 It’s from their organic line & we call it natures neosporin due to its healing properties. It’s deeply nourishing and high in fatty acids along with vitamins A, E, & B. It’s great for dry skin, sun burns, and minor skin irritations. It’s definitely a must have! •
💅🏽”What is your all-time favorite pedicure at the Spa?” The Farmhouse Fresh CBD pedicure is my favorite! It has full spectrum Hi-Bio Hemp in it and uses a water soluble shell for encapsulation that promotes fast absorption in the skin. All of the products in this pedicure are absolutely wonderful and can help with muscle recovery when massaged into the skin. •
💅🏽 “Tell us a fun fact about yourself!” My husband and I are expecting our first child in December - a little girl named Juniper! 👶🏻 I’ll be leaving for maternity leave at the end of November, but I will be back to the Spa at the end of February. I will be missing all of our wonderful staff and clients while I am gone! You all are amazing! •
We love our nail technicians! Come see Jamie and the rest of our staff at the Spa at Riverview! Call us today to make an appointment 📲 #MeetTheStaffMonday

"Every season has it’s own style of leadership, and the thing that has been amazing for us is seeing young people getting fired up about God in every one of those seasons. Some dynamics change from time to time, but there's always people being touched by God and wanting to make a difference in others' lives. There is a consistency in the love for Jesus, but a beautiful diversity in the creative expressions of that love.
How do we take the different passions God has put inside of us, and apply those passions to this city and what He is doing here? We're always looking for ways to connect the passions that people carry and the needs of the city. Finding those matches creates fruit that lasts. •
Each one of our kids have their own unique love for Jesus and want to help change the world for the better. Connecting with other young people has played a big part in that.
All three of our kids were born in Amsterdam, and being in missions as a family has been an important value for us. When we've gone to different places, whether that's outreaches, conferences, or anything else, we have always wanted to be involved together. •
There have been specific things that have influenced each of our children: making sure that we are living out at home what we talk about in our ministry, being a big one.
Being part of such a multicultural community continues to show us how big God is, how far his love extends, and how diverse living out his love can look. Getting to work with people in need, with refugees, and with those in crisis situations has helped us see God's heart for the vulnerable and for those who are not on the top of society. He cares for every single individual. We have good news to share, but also we are called to be good news to others. Home is the most important place where foundational values are imparted. Giving time and space to ask honest questions, and a place open to discussion and vulnerability have all been important to us.
Rejoice in the Lord always!"
-Steve & Rhonda Ashworth

“Life before Jesus was hopeless. I tried to find meaning outside of Him and eventually realized I would never be able to fix my own problems.
Life with Him is joyful, whole, free, and exciting! I have a purpose and mission, and I have God with me in everything I do.
The Lord is teaching me what it means to live life with Him. That it's about integrity towards Him and towards people, and to love Him in everything and through everything.
I’m learning to trust Him from the small things to the big things, and realizing that a life of risks with Jesus is much safer than a life without risks apart from Him.
God changed my life, and my passion is seeing others meet Him in a transforming way.”
Our next #MeetTheStaffMonday features our awesome Lab Technician, Amanda! Outside of work she loves the outdoors, baking, and spending time with her family and her two rescue pups, Darla and Chance. Cheers, Amanda! 🍻

“Life in missions and working with YWAM feels like our family has extended and grown to much larger than just the 4 of us. (baby on the way!!)
We feel part of this big, inclusive family, and we’re so thankful to be experiencing life together while welcoming others into ours.
Being part of such a diverse and large community, it’s very easy to always be around people. We’ve been learning the importance of setting boundaries and knowing when it’s healthy to step back to take time as a family. At the same time, we’ve been able to enjoy growing in hospitality and opening our home during the good and the bad times.
Tobias hosts teams on the base, and sometimes ends up feeling like the dad of the whole group! Being able to give space for students and teams that come here to grow, and also growing in leadership and learning to take responsibility.
Raising a family in missions has made us feel very fortunate to see Nova grow up around so many strong believers, and have her be surrounded by great examples. We’re learning to balance the time spent with many different cultures and languages, to make sure she does not get overwhelmed with so much always going on.
There are so many people that value the children here and treat them with love and respect. We want to make sure she grows up knowing she is loved, and at the same time continuously teaching her humility and the importance of boundaries.”
-Tobias, Rozemarijn, & Nova Prins
