Joseph Kosuth’s ‘Located World, Miami Beach’ is a public commission, permanently installed in the Miami Beach Convention Center. .
Located World, Miami Beach, is the newest iteration of a series of works that #JosephKosuth has previously exhibited in Europe and Japan. The installation signifies a sense of place and answer our ‘will to know’ specifically where we are. The work is about how a community defines itself both within and without borders. Configured in geographic relation to the rest of the world, the size of the name of each location is scaled in direct proportion to the distance from Miami Beach; the closer a location is the larger it appears. This ‘map of the world’, consisting of the names of cities and towns, chosen both arbitrarily and purposefully, becomes an alternative global network, reordering geopolitical privilege and prominence by flattening differences to proximity versus distance.

#SorryForTheWait 😅 not really tho because I have been busy this week! New Job Alert 🚨🤗 ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
Today’s #SocialMediaHack is to “Tag People/Brands In Your Post”
Now before you get tag crazy, I mean that you should tag the brands/people that are related to the post. Don’t go tagging everybody and they mama 🥴 ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
EX: If you’re a fashion blogger/influencer, tag the brands you’re wearing and where you got it from. I know my good friend @longlegzk@longlegzkemz can advocate for tagging brands because she’s a poppin’ Beauty Influencer based in Cleveland (see what I did there 😏)
Tagging builds engagement! I know y’all tired of seeing that word but it’s true. It builds your reach, encourages conversation in the comment section of the post, and can get you more followers if you’re reposted.
I’ll be doing a lot of tagging myself this weekend during #ArtBaselMiami but you need to try it out this weekend and see what happens
Cheers To The Weekend 🥂🖼 💫 Any of my followers in town for #ArtBasel this weekend so we can link up? I need friends 🥴

Sheldon Scott’s "Exorcism of the Sweet" sculptures on view at Art Miami, booth AM316
#MiamiBeach#LincolnRoad 1962 #me#mom and #dad#MiamiBasel it was not. #JackieGleason show was filmed at and recorded at #FountainblueHotel . We’d go visit my grandparents from Brooklyn who vacationed there in the winter. 20+ yrs later as a photographer #AndyWarhol@interviewmag sent me and @robertbecker3 there to cover the Art scene. There wasn’t much to cover but by then Lincoln Road was all boarded up and artists squatted in the empty stores they used as studios. Miami Beach was squalid and it was the days of “Scareface”. No one wanted to live there, not very safe and not one active store on Lincoln Road. It looked like a war zone!
One of the best things to do in Miami Beach is to go cycling along Ocean’s Drive 🌴Have you tried it?? 🚲 Wearing 👗 @sheinofficial search ID 713802. You have 15% off using my code 19q3nexti15 on the Spanish website @shein_spain
