I think the quality should be determined by the build of an accessory and the material. I've had cheap that's last long like these $3 @walmart earrings. And I've had $20 pairs tear up on the first wear 🤦🏾♀️ So, what do I look for?
1. securing mechanisms: clasps, earrings backs, etc. If it has a flimsy clasp or backs that aren't tight, I'm not getting it 💯
2. Hanging peices that give it a raised/ 3D effect. I wiggle them in the store to see how good they stay on. If it's not on in the store, it's not riding in my basket 😂
3. Versatility. Can I wear this multiplie times with different looks? I mostly like simple accessories but if I want to jazz it up, I like having peices that can do both 👍🏽 SHARE WITH ME: What's your favorite jewelry accessory? 👑⬇️💕

(You can probably sub out Labor Day and put in any holiday!) Even the “experts” bust our budgets and do the mental gymnastics to justify purchases we probably didn’t need.
I spent much more than I planned and it was during a sale and at an outlet too. I also clothing shop about three times a year total and do it in bulk because I find zero joy in the process. Frankly, I should have a sinking fund for this — but rewards credit cards do help offset the budget buster. Anyway, when I find a couple of outfits or pieces that look professional and make me feel comfortable and powerful, I’ll often make the purchase because of how rarely I enjoy the process of getting dressed.
(P.S. Not an ad for BR, it’s just pretty much the only place I shop because I generally hate shopping for clothing and it fits my overall style.)

This is my thank God it’s Friday dance 💃🏾.
It’s been a long week at work (my 9-5) and in my business spending time working with all my wonderful clients.
I often get asked how I manage to make time for it all but like everything in life worth having it takes a lot of effort, time and sacrifice. I have to be diligent with my time and do things when I’m in the mood at full speed and then again when I’m not in the mood.
This year has been full of some amazing first for me and I can’t tell you how great it has been to just do it.
I’ve travelled to Brussels, NYx3, Bermuda, Nigeria x 4, Canada, Singapore, LA, San Fran, Chicago, Atlanta, Dublin x2 Zurich x2, Kansas City, Princeton and Berkeley Heights ( all work trips except Nigeria might I add 😉) presented to CEOs, Board members and trained over 1000 employees on UB training that I developed and then rolled out single handedly.
I then started my busines the same month my travelling began and have now worked with over 15 clients in 3 months, written 3 books and booked 3 speaking engagements.
If anyone had said to me, that this is what this year would’ve looked like I would’ve said it was impossible.
