Inspired by #maranasati .
1. Death is inevitable
2. Our time is continuously waning
3. Death will cone regardless of our preparations
4. Human life expectancy is uncertain
5. There are many causes of death
6. The human body is fragile and vulnerable
7. Our material possessions will not help us
8. Our loved ones will not save us
9. Our bodies are of no use at the time of death
❣️"The smell of the sea , the salty fresh air that leaves me feeling free , feeling irresistible and most importantly peaceful. It's so unexplainable , yet I know that my feelings are understood by many. It's amusing , isn't it?"❣️

As promised here are the goods on the first style of attachment....SECURE.
These individuals didn’t have perfect parents but they did have stable and reliable caregivers and environments for the most part.
They tend to be in long-term relationships and don’t have any major issues with closeness or tolerating distance either.
They tend to have more consistent positive interactions and show genuine interest in their partners.
Examples would be Randall and Beth from This is Us, Kevin and Veronica from Shameless, Phil and Claire from Modern Family, Pao and Russ from 90 Day Fiancé.
Day 4 of the #kioncoldthermo and I loved this blurb I read from them: “Remember: the cold is not an obstacle. It’s an ally on your journey towards better health” @kion
You can think of any excuse to not do the things you know will help you but that’s what creates a weak mindset. Coming up with excuses is something anyone can do but it’s how we respond to those excuses and keep pushing. @cameronrhanes says it best “Nobody Cares, Keep Hammering” 🔨🧊🔨🧊🔨🧊🔨
Life is all about balance 🤗
Balance is everything you do and believe in.
Find harmony and connect your mind-heart-soul... that is what you embody, your entire being, existence, your temple of life. 💙
Be true to yourself and find time for you.
Balance is the key 🗝 to succeed in all that you do, all that you are. 🧬
I am very passionate about this and have worked for years to find balance and maintain it as much as I can. It is what brings you to a state of peace and calm, in your mind and body. 👤
If you want to chat more about this, share, ask questions... let’s talk 😊💛
Ways to maintain balance:
•taking breaks throughout the day
•eating smaller portions
•spend time in nature
•Read a book
•Learn something new
•do something for you
•be still & rest
If you experience high-functioning anxiety, you might not seek help or try to work through your feelings of anxiousness/self-doubt because you can “push through” to get the job done. Since you seem to be doing fine on the outside, you may convince yourself that your internal struggles are a result of you being a ‘perfectionist’ or an ‘over-achiever’.
High-functioning anxiety is not listed as an official diagnosis and there is a lack of research on this topic; however, this does not mean that it is not real and should not be addressed. Mental health professionals recognize that anxiety disorders have varying degrees of impairment. Currently, high functioning anxiety may be identified or diagnosed as mild anxiety, but this may not completely justify how this anxiety is manifested internally versus how it is expressed externally.
The purpose of this post is to raise awareness on how anxiety can be manifested in individuals who push themselves beyond their limits to achieve their goals but are internally hurting. It is important to recognize anxiety for what it is despite how you are functioning externally. Sending all of you lots of love 💕 .
Note: I encourage you to use the information I share on here as a guide. Everyone’s experience is unique so some strategies/tools might not be relevant to your specific situation. Please see disclaimer in my highlights.
Take care of your mind and body. Love, Nawal ♥️
Understand this deep within your soul loves, you cannot change other people’s behavior, personality, or motives, it’s absolutely impossible.
People change because they want to change not because you want them to change.
It’s hard enough doing the work to transform ourselves. So when you are being treated with disrespect, and your inherent dignity, as a human being is being violated, walk away.
Learn the teaching from the relationship, wish them well, and keep on living your life fully in alignment and with the utmost integrity in your soul. 🌼

Notes on emotional vibrancy...
Popping in with a few thoughts on finding and maintaining a rich and balanced inner world- I’d love to hear your contributions and philosophies, too
〰️ We cannot separate our emotional/mental health from our brain health, physical health, or spiritual health- all of these parts of us are intrinsically interdependent. When one aspect of ourselves is hurting, taxed, or depleted, the whole system feels it
〰️ You are already okay. You are already well and whole. Sometimes we just need support in remembering this
〰️ We are living in a system/culture that has taught us to split off from our emotional selves. This is where our vitality and power live- reclaiming these repressed or dissociated parts of ourselves gives us access to this trove of strength
〰️ Your emotionality is one of your greatest resources
〰️ As my girl @brenebrown says, we can’t selectively numb: when we push away the challenging and painful feelings, we miss out on the good stuff, too
〰️ Sometimes, all of the therapy and yoga and vegetables in the world still aren’t enough to reset our brains if we are struggling with chemical imbalances or trauma. After seeing mindful medication use radically transform the lives of some of my clients, I am a firm believer in the “right meds, right time” philosophy
〰️ Mental wellness is inextricably tied to our privilege. If you are struggling with depression, anxiety, ptsd or other distressing symptoms, it may very well be because of the cultural, institutional or environmental racism or trauma that your community has and is actively experiencing...not because you’re failing at self care.
〰️ You are stronger than you think
〰️ Caring for our emotional health is an active, ongoing commitment. I’ve been going to therapy almost every week for the past 10 years, and will probably continue to go forever. It’s one of the best parts of my week, and has made me a better therapist, wife, friend, family member, business woman and human being
〰️ I believe it is the nature of the soul to move towards wholeness and wellness. We just need to clear a path for it
