5️⃣ Do things which everybody scary to do

“If you can control tension, you can control movement” - @drandreospina
I remember hearing those words for the first time in FRC over 5 years ago and it immediately resonated with me
Don’t try to conquer movement or gravity. You will lose. It is endless. Controlling it, and controlling yourself however is a different story
Learn to use your body as leverage. As you improve usable ranges of motion, you will use more of your potential. You will learn to breathe and create solutions to movement challenges rather than fight them
Find someone to hold you accountable. For me it’s @chungychung. Change takes time. Be patient and it will come in one way or another
You don’t need to be in pain to see a PT or @functionalrangeconditioning provider. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Find someone in your area, and if you’re in NYC send me a DM - I would welcome the opportunity to help you move and feel better

Establishing a daily or weekly routine is great for productivity, efficiency, and predictability. However, it’s beneficial to your mental state to break your routines occasionally.
Feeling ‘blah’? Sometimes a flip in perspective is exactly what you need.
Try a new activity. Take up a new hobby. Get outside and meet new people. Go somewhere new! Be open to change and' new possibilities. Expand your knowledge. Feed your soul and your mind. Become mentally strong. Constantly strive for self-improvement and self-growth. You’ll be happier and more fulfilled with your life!
“Whatever you hold in your mind on a consistent basis is exactly what you will experience in life.
Pay attention to what you are thinking and the images that you are visualizing in your mind! Our thoughts matter. This isn’t some “woo woo” concept because scientific study after study has affirmed that what we hold in the mind has a tremendous influence on our results in life, including our relationships, health and income.
The great news is that you are in control of the thoughts and images that float around in your mind. It takes incredible discipline and practice, but it’s possible.” 🧡🧡🧡🙋🏻♀️
A question I ask all new or potentially new clients in our consultation is “what do you like about your body?”. ___________
It sounds like a pretty straight forward question. But the majority of people I meet spend a lot of their time telling me about what they dislike, hate or want to improve. Never have I had someone say I love this about my body. We are constantly critiquing and criticizing. I’m friendly with lots of bodybuilders , they are like marble models and yet they are never satisfied with a package they produce. I understand we all strive to improve what we have already improved. That’s one of the downsides of starting to see change. We never take time to appreciate and digestive the amazing change we have made or the work that goes into it . It’s always what’s next.
About a year ago I went to get some Counselling, the lady I visited asked me straight away “what do you love about yourself?” . I honestly didn’t love my interior or exterior at the time and I sat for 10 minutes while she looked at me until I gave her an answer. That opened my eyes to self love and personal development. We all want to improve . But we never digest & appreciate what it takes to make that improvement.
I now ask myself this every morning journaling. “Name one thing I love about myself and name one thing I love about exterior shape?” Sounds cheesy AF right.
Trust me this takes time somedays but I find something and I don’t lie about it . I myself have poor body image health from years of abusing food & training. I also have some poor habits with my mental health. But doing this each day has opened my mind to the positive attributes you can learn pull from yourself even in the darkest time.
Take 5 minutes and think about what you love about your body and personal self (personality) . Answer honestly !
Start taking stock of your efforts and results. You have worked hard to achieve them.

Happy Thursday everyone🌄Getting straight into it today, I want to talk to you guys about anxiety. I’m not going into detail about my experiences because 1. I’m simply not ready to openly share everything & 2. It’s just a long story💭I’ve been struggling with anxiety for about 2 months. When I went to Edinburgh in August, I started having major panic attacks, kept passing out & ended up in hospital🏥Since coming home, i’ve struggled with doing things which before my anxiety started, I was fine with such as speaking on the team calls👩🏻💻being at parties🎉or going to performing arts groups🎭however, i’ve been working on my mindset every single day to get myself better🙂Here’s some tips which i’ve implemented which have truly helped me in moments of anxiousness & my anxiety as a whole:
🖤Breathe - take 5 minutes in a quiet place to just breathe slowly & deeply. 🖤Be realistic - What’s the worst that’s really going to happen? If you’re not going to die, YOU GOT THIS!💪
🖤Be grateful - think of everything & everyone you’re grateful for - it really does help. 🖤Don’t beat yourself up - When you come out of that episode, be so proud of yourself & for it because it is difficult but you had the dedication, time & hard work to get out of it. & remember, I’M PROUD OF YOU🙌
🖤Fidgeting - same as many people, when i’m anxious I fidget & when I fidget I scratch my wrist so I ALWAYS keep a bobble around my wrist & flicking it just brings me back to reality & takes my mind off what I was feeling anxious about. 🖤Find & acknowledge triggers - When i’m around them, I think of funny memories with them & if I see a trigger, I close my eyes, breathe & tell myself it’s not real, it’s not happening to me & i’m safe.
I hope these tips help you break free from your anxiety & help you during those episodes❤️I’m beyond grateful for everyone who’s helped me get through the past 2 months🙏Have a great week & keep rocking it!🖤xx
|| ÄLPLERMAGRONEN ||⠀
EVERYDAY IS AN OPPORTUNITY
Have you heard that before? Everyday is an opportunity (or something like that?)
IT'S FUCKING BULLSHIT!

You can make a new, better, different choice 80,000 times a DAY!
How many thoughts are you actively choosing?
What if you were intentional with just 10% more?
Want to learn how?
Use this moment and one of those thoughts and sign up for a free coffee date.
Don't wait for another day. .

Freiheit heißt: Ich muss nicht, ich will! 💪
Das bedeutet "Frei" für mich! Ich muss mich nicht selbstständig machen als Virtuelle Assistenz aber ICH WILL😊😊😊 Glaubt an euch und an das was ihr könnt. Jeder kann es schaffen. Wenn man es wirklich will. Fühlt euch frei alles zu machen was ihr wollt. ✌️👍💪 Das Geheimnis der Freiheit ist der Mut! (Perikles)
Also habt Mut. Es gehört viel Mut dazu seinen Weg zu gehen und viele Hürden müssen gemeistert werden.
Auf eine spannende und aufregende Zeit 😊
Did you know I lived in Australia for a year on a work visa?
One of the first friends I’ve ever made was a girl named Rita. She was kind, sweet and warm.
A few months after I met her, I was in a low state of mind and struggling to find a decent job.
So I called Rita and she gave me a pep talk.
With a few simple words she changed my perspective. “Try – It Doesn’t Cost Anything,” she said to me. This line left lingering in my mind long after our phone conversation. Although I already knew this to be true, it all of a sudden clicked in my head – kind of like an Oprah “A-HA!” moment.
Try – It Doesn’t Cost Anything
It was simple but effective. I started to take action and started seeing results from it, and I'm ever so grateful to meet such wonderful people throughout my travels.
Rita thanks for always throwing motivational cliches at me and always leaving me feeling like I am more capable than I give myself credit for 💛💛💛

Earlier this week, the lovely @guidedspirit helped me see that I’ve been giving away A LOT of my energy. This helped me understand why I’ve noticed feelings of resentment creeping into my life recently.
I’ve learned that resentment, for me, tends to come from thoughts that life is not fair. That I’m not appreciated. And I’m sure none of you can relate. 😉
Allow me to share my current practice of emotional experience with you.
1. Name the emotion (as specifically as possible) and notice how it feels in your body. All emotions are energy in motion.
2. Allow the emotion. Sit with it. Don’t fight it or question it. Let it move all the way through the body.
3. Now get curious.
4. What thought(s) brought this emotion on? If you haven’t learned by now…it’s ALWAYS a thought.
5. Examine the thought(s). Ask if it is helpful, true, etc.
6. Decide if you’d like to choose another thought (that could be equally as true) that will help you feel differently.
7. Decide if you’d like to make an action plan.
I find the last two steps so empowering. They put me in the driver seat of my life.
I decide what I want to think and believe (regardless of what others want me to think and believe). I decide whether or not I want to take compassionate action to improve my situation.
This is living life on purpose.
The second school of our autistic son was a big mistake. He lost all his motivation and he was really unhappy. However, there was one unforgettable teacher, who believed in him unconditionally. Unfortunately she only taught him a few hours a week. She always called him the best athlete of the school and she understood him very well. And autistic people never forget anything, so if one day he has a fortune, he will surprise her with a sports car. He thinks it suits her.
When we had an autistic child, we knew nothing about autism and were inclined to take advice from professionals. But now, 17 years later, we can tell from experience that as parents you know much better than the professionals. The medical world sees autism as a disability and prescribes medication. Schools see autism as a disability and I quote: "place too much emphasis on the deficit and not enough on the strength" (Temple Grandin).
We now think very differently about it. Our son has never done so well and never felt so happy as he does now. We cannot change the way the world sees autism, but we can keep thinking for ourselves.

When I was in my twenties, I saw a competition of a car brand, in which you could win a trip to Canada. I registered with my boyfriend, who is now my husband. I really wanted to go to Canada and I was sure we were going to win. First we had to put on paper why they should take us to Canada. Then we had to get through 2 selection days. We survived all 3 selection rounds. I was so sure all the time that they would choose us. Years later I read the book The Secret. I had done everything exactly as they described in the book. You were born to create, so create your perfect life.

A home is very important for our autistic son. He has no friends, no sport club, no school. He tried, but it didn't work. Almost everything he does in life takes place at home. Learning through home education, gaming on his computer at home with his cousin or brother. Listening to music, watching tv, jumping the trampoline, playing outside. Everything at home. As an exception, he runs 6k every day on the roads around our house. His favorite road definitely leads home.

Many of my family members have worked in the hotel business. I also started as a waitress in my student days. I have learned to be hospitable from an early age. I still am. When people visit us, I always want to give them enough to eat and drink. It was a good learning experience to go the extra mile for guests. It feels good to take good care of others and take good care of yourself. Yes....even to spoil yourself now and then. Live a life of abundance. Share abundantly, enjoy abundantly and love abundantly.

✰ Half way through the week! You can do it!✰
✰Today was my bio midterm & WHEW... it was a tough one! I studied & studied & studieddd, & now can only hope for the best!! I’ve noticed many of my peers stressing their grades & getting upset with their performance here at college. I understand where they’re coming from as I used to be just like them. After receiving my first bio exam grade back, I was not satisfied with my grade. However, I soon realized that although I tried my absolute hardest on it, I could’ve taken better measure to prepare! I reflected for a bit & I quit being so hard on myself. Its only one grade... in a whole 8 semesters lol. If you put all your effort in & take the necessary steps to succeed, that’s all that matters. So what, you got a bad grade?! Don’t dwell on it! Push yourself to get a better grade next time! There’s always room for growth & improvement!
✰A saying I live by: Mindset is everything. Change your mindset & the world will change with it :)
After my post on healing bringing out emotional immaturity in parents, I got several very angry emails.
Long emails. From hurt mothers. Decorated with some personal insults.
It was the first time I felt very little. Nothing really. It was the first time I saw myself fully ok with reactivity that wasn’t mine to carry.
My work that you consume is in the form of my newsletters, posts, podcasts, YouTube. But there’s so much of my work that you don’t see.
It’s the work I do in the moments when my egos triggered, or when a wave of unhealed emotional immaturity washes over me. It’s when I sit an hour before a meditation in prospect park and my mind starts taking me on this wild story about how the dogs barking are going to “ruin” it or how no ones going to come. It’s when my conditioning to neglect myself comes up, and I choose discipline as an act of love. It’s in the quiet moments when I feel doubt and fear and I show up with trust anyway. It’s when I choose to be fully conscious and see multiple versions of truth with acceptance.
This work isn’t for monks. Or “spiritual” people. It’s actually not for any type of person. It’s for everyone. Every human being who is tired. Who’s done resisting, and reacting, and betraying themselves in cycles. This work is for the person who wants to create their life by their own design— whatever design they choose. This work is for anyone who’s no longer interested in judging, labeling themselves or others, and existing within the confines of lack consciousnesses.
I see you setting yourself free. Thank you for being here, Nicole.
