It seems I am continually having to learn self discipline.⠀
These last few days have been tough as I push through being in a deficit, adjusting to a new program, along with some personal struggles I’m working through.⠀
But here’s something I’ve experienced. I’ve learned #gratitude on a deeper level because I am practicing DAILY and working on self discipline. I’ve learned self discipline is the center of all success. Material, physical, emotional, and spiritual.⠀
Here’s the truth. Studies show 99% of people are not willing to do what it takes to make their dreams come happen. They call it the Change or Die Theory. Most people would rather stay where they are than to truly change their lifestyle.⠀
I am determined to be that other 1% they talked about. Learning to be humble, have self discipline, take responsibility for my actions and where I am (or even where I’m not at in my life). My WHY for doing what I do runs deep and I feel I cannot truly be happy OR be true to myself unless I do everything I can to achieve what I feel my purpose is. It’s bigger than the pain, fear, and uncertainties I have.⠀
I’ve learned that something as simple as food and eating has not just become about my body, it’s about my mind. It’s learning to take command of my mind, to be able to choose actions that are in my best interest. Being in full control of my goals. Just like muscles need conditioning, so does self discipline. I’ve learned that you never fully arrive to your goals. You arrive but then you keep going forward because there is more you can learn, more to develop, and more to become. Your goal just shifts into something bigger and better and you grow and develop. I’m grateful for the struggles I’ve had, for the pain I’ve felt overcoming my fears and uncertainties. I’m grateful that I have experienced both sides of things in life, being close to God and feeling what it’s like when I tried to do things in my own. Life precious, take the time to learn how to be in control of the things you can be in control of. Take time to develop that self discipline and keep pushing forward. Because when the hard times come, having a solid foundation will help you keep going.
Care about people. Just stop caring about what people will say about you.
You’re not a mind reader, get over it. You’re not going to change the world by waiting on everyone’s approval. You’re not going to be happy by assuming people will hate what you’re doing.
Even if all the assumptions you have about what people will think about you are true. What does it matter? You’re living your life for you, not your parents, not your friends, not the strangers walking by you on the sidewalk, not your coworkers, not anyone else. If you don’t live your life on your terms, you’ll have a lot of regrets.
So why are you still waiting? Why aren’t you doing? Why are you leaving your dreams to be taken by someone else?
Don’t tell me you don’t have time? Most people work 8 hours a day, sleep 8 hours a day and do what else then for the remaining 8 hours?
The only difference between you and @opera or Mr. Wonderful or @vancityreynolds is that they used all the hours in the day they had effectively. We all get the same amount of time, use at least some of those hours to achieve your dreams.
You won’t regret it. 😎👍⚡️✅ Tag a friend who would love to read this message!

Seeking validation DESTROYED my self-worth. I had a ridiculously hard time (unapologetically) going after what I wanted. Fear of judgment, rejection, and failure stopped me. I CRAVED acceptance and validation. I just wanted to belong after years of never feeling like I was enough. I didn't realize how badly I was hurting myself. More AMAZING content at the link in my bio!

Don’t change so people will like you. Be yourself and the right people will love you!
This is me! I don’t know about you, but I have never been one of those girls that looks “super cute” all the time, especially when going to the gym. Yeah, I have some cute leggings here and there but I somehow can never pull off the totally together look! This can be frustrating at times and make me feel bad about myself, but only for a minute because then I remind myself why exactly I am there in the first place. To get a good workout in, get my body moving, and be healthy! I don’t have to be the best dressed in the gym to accomplish any of these tasks. And that is exactly what I bring to my classes. I am not there to be the cute fitness instructor. I am there to help people who want to get fit regardless of where they are in the process and what they look like. I can’t guarantee I will be in the latest trending workout outfit, but I can guarantee you will get a good workout in and feel great afterward without having to feel judged! If this strikes a chord with you, then DM me or click on the link in my profile to learn about my classes and personal fitness training that I offer!
