Happy Monday!! Mondays might be my most fave day of the week! It’s a fresh start to the week. I have the house to myself so I can focus on what I want to focus on- and play my music really loud! I get amazing training from leaders in my company every Monday. And Mondays give me a chance to just breath.
It didn’t used to be this way. I used to dread Mondays. So much so that it would ruin my Sundays. I’d have to wake up at 5:30. Working out was not a priority because I was usually so tired. I remember when my daughter was a baby - I’d have to get up, get ready for work, pump in hopes that she’d have enough breast milk for the day, get her and my boys ready for school/daycare, and kids my husband on my way out the door.
Now I get to say good morning to my kids, and have a good day before they leave for school. I get to sip my fizz tea and watch t he sunrise hit the mountains. I get to chat with my husband before he heads out. Get my workout in. Then, like I said, the music comes out and I get to do all the things for my business.
I also used to be a photographer- this is my image, btw - and Monday’s would mean sitting in my office in front of my giant monitor, editing all day. In the dark. It’s just not my cup of tea anymore! #monday#getto#ownit#lifebydesign#lifeonpurpose#teacher#photographer#stayathomemom#dailyhavetos#choices#makeithappen#becauseofarbonne#arbonnelife#fitmom#healthylifestyle#beyourownboss#nomore9to5#time#lifeisagift

“I met her in the last year of college—I was the overconfident captain of the dance team, while she was a shy fresher. We didn’t get along & were very different!
It was only when we all went for a college trip, did we talk & realise we had a lot in common—I didn’t want to leave her side at all. Everyone even started teasing us!
She was so kind & simple—she had me hooked. I could be ‘me’ with her. After we got back, I kept calling & texting her—I was madly in love with her.
I didn’t know if she felt the same, but I had to tell her. So I called her & with all the courage I had, I said, ‘I love you’, she said, ‘Same here’ & cut! I called her again but she couldn’t answer, she was home & her parents had no idea about us. I couldn’t sleep that night!
The next day, when we met, she said, ‘I love you too’. It’s still the best moment of my life!
Finally things were in place, but I was going for my Masters to USA soon & we barely had time together. But I didn’t want to lose her. So I asked her, ‘Will you be able to manage long-distance?’ & she said, ‘I’m ready to do anything for us’. I fell in love with her all over again.
So now our relationship was Skype calls & loads of ‘I wish you were here’s.’ There were days when I only got free late at night & it was too early in the morning for her—but she’d always answer my calls! Even when I was having a hard time—night or day she spoke to me with love & patience!
We spent 7 years like that & only met once or twice a year. Finally in 2016, she got a job & came to USA. But her visa got rejected & she went back in a year.
And that was right before I’d planned to take her to Paris, to propose to her. But I couldn’t wait, so I bought a ring, video called both our families & proposed to her—& she said ‘yes’!
This year, I came back to India—I didn’t want my love to be dictated by immigration laws. We even got married in February! She walked into my life & changed it—the distance, the drama, the dedication has brought us closer. I wouldn’t be ‘me’ without her & I’m so excited to spend my life with her! And guess what—we’re finally off to Paris soon & I’m going to propose to her there, all over again—just like I’d planned!”
