Last month we had the pleasure of meeting Mitch from Share Plate Magazine, and showing him around O&O HQ. We are super excited for their next issue to come out, which is all about our home - the Mornington Peninsula.
I want to make my workshops and one on one sessions more accessible for when I return from maternity leave in 2020. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Many of you suggested longer term payment plans so that by the time 2020 rolls around you're all paid up and ready to get the year off to a clear and confident start when it comes to communicating your brand's messages. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So, I thought why not? Maybe it's the loved up pregnancy hormones, but I also thought how about I keep my 2019 prices so it's even better value for you. 💛
Up now via the link in bio, you can sign up for custom, 6 or 8 month payment plans to attend both workshops and my one on one strategy sessions in 2020, at 2019 prices. (I'll explain more about these options in my stories today).
If you've ever wanted to attend my workshops or have a full day one on one strategy session but payment upfront was a barrier for you, you can now work with me from as little as $80 per month over 8 months.
And for those who want to pay in full, I've added an upfront option at 2019 prices just for you. With this option you'll get first dibs on available workshops and one one one dates from March 2020. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My prices will go up next year to take into account the changes and improvements I'll be implementing and their added value. So whilst you'll be paying 2019 prices, you'll be receiving the new and improved 2020 services!
Payment plans will be a regular option next year, but will soon reflect my new 2020 pricing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Given I conduct all workshops and one on one sessions myself I have a limit on how many I can deliver. I'm unsure how long this promotion will go for and will have to cap it at some stage. So if you're keen on securing a place to work together next year, maybe jump on the link in bio sooner rather than later! 😬
As usual, feel free to flick me a DM with any questions. 💛

Bisley has arrived and you will not be disappointed!
When I find myself getting too caught up with or too hurt by the drama of life, I take a moment to pause. I can remember that while the surface of my life may be like a choppy sea on which I get tossed and turned, deep below the surface there is a part of me that remains constant and unaffected by what is happening above. I picture myself as a stone dropping down beneath the surface of the waves, until I find a place of peace to rest. When I reside there, I know that everything is actually all right.
So this week, if you feel overwhelmed, pause and remind yourself that underneath the surface, your true self resides. .

With ever expanding life online we have so many worrying about judgements made by others. Pls stop being afraid to be you 🖤
Stop deleting the words you’re about to post in fear someone will criticise or lol at you. .
Stop holding back on sharing what you love in life, what you believe in & do, share or say because of people, of “society”.
Is your first thought before you post “will someone make fun of this” , “will it even get any “likes”? Take your mind out of trying to understand or assume what others may think or not think. .
Stop letting them dictate how you live post share think shop whatever it may be. When you live by the opinions of others you hold back your greatness & those thoughts feels & vibes that showcase your unique personality & real. .
Not everyone will understand why you do what you do or how you do it.
Not everyone will like your opinions, thoughts, advice, knowledge or even care what you have to say.
We have access 24/7 to everyone & everything. We are living online & wether we like it or not it’s evolving. .
We connect, share, we build business online. We develop relationships & share our passions with other like minds online.
We shop, engage & make purchasing decisions online. .
We vote, we donate, we support & give online. .
We are entertained & we entertain online.
We share our journeys & we keep in touch online. .
Yes there is an “outside” to the online but you cannot really escape this unless you choose not to have any online + social connection at all - so it’s just a fact that our online world is a very real life space.
There’s an abundance of opportunity, amazing people to meet & things to learn. Don’t hold back.
Do, say, share without fear. There’s at least ONE person out there needing to hear what you have to say 🖤🤞🏼

Feeling beyond thrilled to get into the working week!
We’re onboarding a great new client, launching some genuine campaigns, building aesthetically pleasing EDMs and, [thanks to one of the greatest days on the sporting calendar] us Melburnians have a long weekend to look forward to.
Oh, and our temporary office looks like this ☀️. Let’s be honest, this is probably the main reason for the exponential increase in our Monday eve excitement levels 😂

Cam Stynes finding virtue in a light-filled setup.
How awesome is this t-shirt?
A lovely fellow business owner and amazing friend @biancajanekoch gifted this to me whilst we ate smashed avo on toast and discussed all things business (a dream morning, hey!)
I wanted to let you know whilst this is my virtual business, I am around too!
You might bump into me at your favorite cafe, at a walking track or a local play centre.
You should find reassurance in knowing that I am here and if we need to meet up we can, or maybe you just want to invite me to your upcoming Christmas party ha!
If you would like to know more about me or my services, please get in touch!

As horses are orientated around bonding and connecting, they offer us the opportunity to learn about different experiences within relationships, and to explore new behaviours. Horses are authentic in their contact, so they give feedback that is non judgmental. In the presence of horses, a safe place can be found to express ourselves and grow🌻 📸 @kayveephotography

Yesterday we spoke about the importance of sunshine - but sunshine in a healthy amount and way!⠀
We are continuing with the health benefits today, all the time we talk about UV exposure and being sun smart with proper shade - I mean it is our business to do so! But we do understand sun is necessary to survive as well.⠀
Creating a place that you can experience both sun and shade is vital! Sails are perfect for this. It is advised for people to get at least 10 - 15 minutes of direct sunlight a day!⠀
5 possible health benefits of sun:⠀
1️⃣ Improves Your Mood - Sunlight increases levels of serotonin which help promote feelings of happiness.⠀
2️⃣ Improves Sleep - Research suggests that morning sunlight exposure is linked to better sleep and health. Getting less morning light could make it more difficult for you to fall asleep and wake up at your preferred times.⠀
3️⃣ Weight Loss - Lack of sunlight causes a drop in serotonin levels, which can result in the feeling of fullness not being achieved. Therefore, exposure to sunlight will help you control your appetite. ⠀
4️⃣ Alzheimer’s Symptoms - Research has shown that Alzheimer’s patients exposed to bright light encountered fewer symptoms of depression, agitation and nighttime wakefulness.⠀
5️⃣ Better Bone Health - As we know, vitamin D nourishes our body. But what many of us don’t know it that vitamin D actually helps our body better absorb calcium. This results in strong, healthy bones.⠀
Another great 5 health benefits, courtesy of the Active Times! Stay tuned for the last 5 tomorrow 👉

A favourite theory of ours at Los Equidos. The paradoxical theory of change. If, instead of trying to change, we abandon the idea of what we want to become, even if it’s just for a moment, and attempt to be just who we are. Be with what is, in the present moment, and change will occur 💚
Our next meetup in October is about the challenges of staying profitable year-round without just relying on trade in the Summer period. This is a particularly topical conversation and important to have it now, while the experience of this past winter is fresh in our minds. I've heard mixed messages about trading through winter on the southern Peninsula but as a designer I'm keen to understand more about the affect of seasonality on businesses and in turn, the locals and the economy. If there are enough people wanting to address this challenge to see if we can make some changes before next Autumn / Winter roles around, then please do RSVP to this meetup or express your interest in taking part.
You can join the group and rsvp to this meetup at meetup.com/freelancers-and-founders
And yes, we've had a name change! We're now called the Freelancers and Founders meetup to better reflect the diversity in this growing group 🤗

These two are never far from one another. The are best friends but are in constant conflict. Unlike people, horses don’t hold onto the stress of their differences. They express their feelings, are seen, heard and understood by each other, and then they get back to eating the next mouthful of grass - conflict resolved, content and stress free!
We rearrange the order of our daily and weekly to-do lists more often than we’d like to admit. It can be SO hard to establish what tasks need to be done first, and even more difficult to decide what is the least important.
One thing we know for sure, if it’s not on our list it’s not getting a look in. Yes, even the smaller less pressing tasks are popped on the list.
If you’ve found yourself moving the same tasks further and further down the priority list perhaps it’s time to outsource this work. If it’s made it onto the all important #tasklist then you’ve clearly deemed it to have some level of importance.
Email said list of tasks to us and let’s see if we can tick some of these off for you! Oh, and make sure you keep self-care somewhere in the top third. Always.
So you are scared to hand over your work to a Virtual Business Assistant because, will do they even do the work?
It's a concern of some and rightfully so, I mean you can't look over the office petition and see if I am at my desk or not, right?
Well that’s why we will work out what good communication looks like for you.
Usually it’s a weekly email check in at the start of the week, of what I will be completing and also at the end of the week as a summary.
There is also timing software I use to keep track of the amount of time worked per client. This way I can let you know how many hours have been used at the end of each month.
So apart from seeing the work being completed, you will also have communication and updates as necessary. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Don't let fear of the unknown hold you back from outsourcing, instead ask questions and educate yourself so that you feel more comfortable. It will be a win, win for both of us! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you have any questions please DM me. As they say, there is no such thing as a silly question.

Feel very lucky to have had such an awesome crew of interesting, highly experienced and creative individuals last night at the Find Your Focus with Design Thinking workshop. We had so much to get through and the energy levels were high throughout. It continues to blow me away that there are so many entrepreneurial spirits on the Peninsula... who needs Melbourne? 💁🏻♀️😉 Thanks for all your support Tracey @sorrentohubcoworkspace It’s a thrill to work with you and see this #ideastoaction community grow.

the next step🌸 it is from a place of embodiment that we can make choices to respond, rather than react. Noticing, naming and valuing emotions as they arise rather than pushing away or diminishing them helps keep our nervous system regulated. Accept your whole being as it moves from moment to moment and notice what happens 💫
Just wanted to write and let you know a few things!! I’ll be in the studio the next four days for FUN TIMES, but then I am heading to QLD to see my granny because she’s not very well. I will totally be on the gram (because I’m me...) but may not be super responsive with much else, as i want to be with her.
We’ve also decided to cancel the children’s illustration class at @stationstreetworkshops on the 29th (next Sunday) but we’ll be running the next one on October 27th! I think there’s 3 spots left in that. (Pretty sure we’ve contacted everyone booked in already, but if you were still thinking on it, I’m super sorry and please join us for the next one!!)
Def feeling the pressure a bit of crazy times ahead, but I also operate best this way! ♥︎
📸 @janisalwayshashercamera (can’t wait to shoot with Janis again next month for new goodies!) x o x o ps how cute is Ed 🐕
Does anyone else go into immediate holiday mode as soon as you land somewhere with warm weather? Fellow Melburnians would know exactly where we’re coming from.
Being immersed in sunshine that lasts longer than 2 hours [and isn’t sandwiched between rain] is such a treat for those of us who are slowly emerging out of a typical Melbourne winter.
It also has us craving a crisp glass of pinot gris and some fresh seafood. As we’re not one to ignore pressing needs,
we’ve made the executive decision to knock off early and are currently en route to the delightful beachfront @burleighpavillion.
Did you know,... we're pretty good at throwing a good party. Our unique, light-filled space is a beautiful, understated beachside event venue.
Top-notch food + first class service + relaxed seaside vibe = perfect 👌🏽😁🎉

This is the hardest (most awkward) post. ‘CoCo’ as we affectionally label it, was born and exists for the small business community on the Mornington Peninsula. It’s not about one person, it’s about a collective of diverse and brilliant minds. CoCo is a collaborative workspace where ideas propel, minds collide and other members (whom are not in your business) support you and uplift you. You learn an immense amount about business working alongside others, further more, more about yourself and your place within a collaborative community. You strive harder when you see others working hard as well, even in a different industry to your own.
The reason this is a hard post is because the success and effectiveness of CoCo comes from the people within, so it’s awkward to put myself out there and introduce myself finally. However I am currently challenging the members to tell their story, so I need to go first. Hi, I’m Stef, Founder of Co.Co Place. Co.Co Place was a crazy dream which stemmed from feeling alone and disengaged whilst working from home.
90 plus local businesses, from over 25 industries have walked through our door over the last three years. The stories are what inspire us all to push harder everyday and have fun whilst doing business. It’s time these entrepreneurial stories are told and the core to an effective coworking community is revealed. We are excited to share these stories commencing this week and will extend the storytelling to beyond our doors. ‘The Coworker Chat’ launching soon.
First member to be called up: Luke from @designbybird . A considered thinker and long term member of CoCo.
MEET JESS // If you've been to South Beach Project before, you've probably met Jess, our incredible manager. She has been here since the very beginning, and has actually worked with David, Simon & Nathan at a few different venues over the past 13 years.
Our wonderful regular customers are her absolute favourite part about working here - she loves looking after them and getting to know them. She also enjoys coordinating our events and functions and making sure clients have the best experience at our beautiful venue.
Team work makes the dream work - Jess is super proud of our team, who support each other daily.
We're lucky to have you Jess, thank you for all your work!
