A peaceful reprieve. I love beginning my mornings with a nature walk to clear my head before doing anything else. These birds have no idea what’s going on with the quarantine. They’re just living day to day in this beautiful paradise.
Walking in the morning is always so quiet and peaceful. Give me the ability to notice and enjoy mother nature. This morning I saw caterpillars crawling across the road, pelican gliding along the lake, birds soaring in the sky, and bunnies hopping in the field while listening to the birds chirp their song.
Fresh peonies from the farmers market against LA’s notoriously jagged pavements!
An old gem from my Snapchat folder that I’m glad I saved. It’s not the best quality but I really like it - it reminds me of the small routine I had when I lived alone. I used to purposely walk up to an hour instead of taking an Uber to the farmers market to kill time. Then I’d get fresh flowers and avocados to have for breakfast. Depending on the day, I would then stop for a coffee and pick up @zankouchicken for dinner. I would get home, put it all in place and go for a run. So when I got back home exhausted, I already had an amazing dinner and flowers to make me feel good. It was like dating myself 🤓✌🏼 I still buy flowers for myself all the time and it still makes my day 10x better!

Waiting for the day to go on a walk not just around my neighbourhood. For a day to go on a plane, on a road trip, hiking, sightseeing, camping, staying Airbnb’s and run to a store to get only one thing ...
This stunning place is located on the way to Samanalawewa Dam. Huge stone steps with big rocks scattered around gives this place an otherworldly feel. This is a man-made structure. The stones to create the dam was taken from this place, according to the townsfolk.
We stopped here to snoop around and snap some pictures. It’s a very instagrammable spot isn’t it? 😍
