#MountEverest , (Tibetan: Çomolungma, Nepali: Çonnolugma Sagramata), the highest mountain in the world. It is located on the China-Nepal border, in the Himalayas, approximately 28 degrees north latitude and 87 degrees east longitude. The bare Southeast, Northeast and Western ridges reach the highest points on Everest (8.848 m) and the Southern peak (8.748 m). Mount Everest is fully visible from the Tibetan plateau (about 5,000 m) in the northeast. It is one of the most interesting places in the world. Peaks rising from their skirts such as Çangtse, Khumbutse, Nuptse and Lhotse prevent them from being seen from Nepal.

Congratulations @iam.parth for making it to Mount Everest | We welcome you to Trekkers Of India, Here's his story!
In 2010, I stood on the summit of Kalsubai Peak and as a 15 year old, I asked myself that if the sunrise from this small hill is so beautiful, how would the sunrise look from Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world?
I promised myself that no matter what, I will see the sunrise from the highest peak in the world in this lifetime! Since that day Everest became my life's goal and an obsession which kept me awake at nights.
In the upcoming years, I went about doing the mountaineering courses, climbed numerous high peaks in the Himalayas and did rigorous physical training. It took me 9 years of intense training and preparation to build a top of the world mind and a top of the world body which would be ready to take on the highest peak in the world.
Finally on 23rd May 2019, 5am IST, my dream came true as I unfurled the Indian national flag on the summit of Everest. I saw the sunrise which a stupid 15 year old kid dreamt of seeing and 9 years later I was looking down at that very sunrise and this is the power of a bloody dream! #TrekkersOfIndia
Another awesome pano from @ralfdujmovits
"The view from the summit of Lhotse (8,516 m; 27,940 ft..- the fourth highest mountain on Earth) has a very special meaning for me: It was the last of the fourteen mountains over 8,000 metres that I climbed ...never ever I will forget the view from up there. The left and unlabelled part of the panorama shows the unbelievably exposed and unclimbed Southeast Ridge of Lhotse, coming from Nuptse (7,861; 25,791 ft.)
This panorama is also part of a picture book which I wrote and published together with @pyhrgas in 2012. The panorama in the book is 85 cm wide. I still have some copies left which I am selling for 10,- Euro each. I will sign the book and write something inside for you, if you like. In case you are interested please send me an Instagram direct message. Freight costs are as follows:
Germany 5,- Euro / EU 9,50 EUR / Switzerland 10,- EUR / Worldwide 18,- Euro
I made three attempts on Lhotse, in 2006, 2008, and 2009. In 2006, we turned back just 80 metres from the summit! Finally, on the 20th of May 2009, after acclimatizing and then waiting 17 days in basecamp in bad weather, I was finally able to fulfill my long-time dream of climbing all the 8,000 m peaks." - @ralfdujmovits
Next in my series of iconic images that go with the theme of Social Distancing and Staying at Home 🏡:
Tenzing Norway standing on top of Mount Everest.
Social Distancing 7/10 (close to Edmund Hillary at times but wearing protective equipment)
Staying at home 0/10
Quarantine has me dreaming about my travels already. I can’t wait to get back to Nepal and see the culture of the city and the remoteness of the walking trails. What destinations does the lockdown have you dreaming about?
Everest as seen from the summit of Cho Oyu. 6:30am, 5 October 2008. I am on the summit of Cho Oyu at an altitude of 8,201m gazing at Everest, 30km in the distance. Just my sherpa, Dasona, and I on the summit, enjoying the solitude and the views of Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse 30km away.

Throwback to 2017, our founder/expedition leader @nimsdai climbing the fourth highest mountain in the world, Mt Lhotse
Despite the extreme weather conditions, he still managed to set a world record of being the fastest man to climb 3 higher 8000m in just 5 days
