Nature and hikes are something that I love so much. Obviously one of my travel spot includes nature, maybe it’s because I was raised among the mountains among trees, fresh air and animals around. There’s nothing that makes me feel more alive than hiking to the top and surrounding myself with nature in a way it gives air to my soul. I still remember when there was no transportation to go to Gorkha when I was young and we had to walk for so many hours from villages to villages and mountains across to reach Gorkha and that used to be my favourite part! Running up to the mountain racing with my cousin dai and in the mid way making arrow with bamboo sticks and doing archery 🏹 Hike to mount hallasan wasn’t so bad at all infact it was a lil too easy and our phone battery drained out so I couldn’t capture much but everything that was captured through my eyes was just heaven. I’m so blessed to spend my childhood around the nature. It’s like my therapy and I feel so glad that I managed to drag many of my friends along with me to witness both the pain and love in the ass of hiking tho I lack so much stamina along the way but they didn’t regret at all. Nature is everyone’s friend and I can picture myself hiking even in my grandma days 😂 .

Base of Mt. Hallasan, tallest peak in South Korea. Surprisingly, an easier climb than Bukhansan despite its height. Very efficient crowd control with strict cut-off times to scale the peak. One of the moments and places where you can just lie on the lush fields and stare at the blue skies, with the fresh mountain breeze occasionally gracing your presence. .
As this will be my final post on South Korea, I have been amazed with this country. From the vibrant yet chill metropolitan Seoul to the picturesque nature of Jeju, there is always something for everyone here.
Thank you for everything.
Hiking up above the clouds on Mount Hallasan, Jeju Island.
It’s a shield volcano, with over 360 satellite volcanos. It’s also the tallest mountain in South Korea and an UNESCO biosphere reserve. This area is worshipped by locals as they believe gods and spirits live here.
We woke up at 4.30am to start on the Seongpanak Trail up Mount Hallasan. Many people said it was easy but the first 3.5km is killer! It was extremely rocky and I wasn't very well equipped with my Sketchers. According to the information board, the next 6.5km is going to be more difficult. Keep fingers crossed!

‘Life is not a race, so just do things at your own pace’ LG, 2019 😎❤️
And boy do I take things at my own pace, especially today 😅💁🏼♀️
Another volcano hike completed..this time 1950m above sea level to the top of Mt Hallasan..the highest point in South Korea 🇰🇷🌋
Cloud cover at the top prevented any decent photos being taken but the views on the way up and down made up for it 📸😍
Constantly trying to push myself out of my comfort zone on this trip, and as much as I moan and give out (sorry @charlie_sm15 🙈😅), the benefits of doing this have been incredible 🙌🏼🥰

In Mid May, I found myself on 1 too many nights out in Seoul. Tired of excessive clubbing, i spontaneously bought a round trip ticket to Jeju Island. After hitchhiking and crashing on couches, I was convinced by strangers to attempt the highest point in South Korea.
Woke with a sore throat and no motivation, I started the 22KM trail. After a humid warm trek to the top, I finally reached the summit. However, there was a point higher behind the barricade so I climbed over it. Within 2 minutes, I found myself face to face with a Korea security guard cursing me out. I still had 120 seconds of pure bliss with no higher point than mine in sight.
