I was lucky enough to exclusively breastfeed my first babe for around 8 months and then we started baby lead weaning with solids.
It was the best hardest best thing I’ve ever done.
I cracked and bled and cried.
We bonded and cuddled.
I pumped like a maniac, never feeling like I could keep up.
I felt like a goddess for sustaining a human life all by myself.
I grew weary of floppy nursing bras and smelling like milk and not being able to wear the clothes I wanted bc they weren’t nursing friendly.
I craved being close to my baby and the release of my let down nourishing her at any hour of the day.
I have a photo album in my phone called ‘Feeding the bebe’ bc there were times I felt it was the only thing I existed to do in a day.
I missed hot meals, living life in more than 3 hour chunks, sleeping through the night and many more things I don’t recall now that I’m 5 months out from all of it.
And I absolutely know I would not have made it as far as I did without a few badass, strong, supportive women @drhalibanda and @jes_mobley that shared I the pump room with and borrowed countless essentials from during our days at school.
I’m excited and optimistic about beginning another BF journey in the next week or so. Hope the second time around is as challenging and rewarding as the first.

Running is a great way to keep the heart ❤️ and mind 🧠 healthy. However it can come with some reoccurring struggles in those tendons and muscles of the hip. Plop these in your warm up routine and see how they help. Here’s a good way to do it:
Windshield wipers x10 reps/side
Dynamic Groin Stretch x10 reps/side

Glute Bridge March x15 reps/side
Hip mobility is important and we if don’t use it, we lose it. Sitting at a desk all day can really cause some discomfort that creeps up over time. These are great 👍🏼 to relieve this annoying tension. Here is a super fast routine to do every hour or so to keep those hips loose!
Windshield wipers x20 sec of reps
10 sec rest
Glute Bridge March x20 sec of reps
10 sec rest
Dynamic Groin Stretch x20sec I’d Reps
