These pics always make me smile as I come up the stairs, the bottom one a lovely original print by the amazing @jo_waterhouse of one of her beautiful collages. After all this madness I'll hopefully be able to earn a living again and hope to buy more of her wonderful work 🤞🙏. The other little oil I found at a Suffolk carboot for £1, it reminds me of a little Finnish house for some reason and I find it really calming. Also reminds me of an amazing trip to Helsinki years ago with our close friends @hannahliv81 where we were told we "saunered like the Finnish" 😂, as we weren't phased about jumping into 3 degrees sea after sitting in a beautifully hot sauna, it really was pretty euphoric! This little picture always brings back those fond memories and makes me smile.
It's funny how certain things trigger happy memories, love to hear if any of you have any such things?
Happy Saturday, Lovely! 🌼🌿 Earlier today I realized I'm undergoing treasure huntin' withdrawals lol! 🙉🙈 How about you? With the pandemic situation being as it is right now, our family is committing to staying at home, and not bringing in any "nonessential" items until this whole thing blows over. Which means no antiquing... 😳 It's hard! 😝 But with everyone's health at stake, this small sacrifice is worth it. 🙏💞 As with everything else, this too shall pass.
So I decided to go shopping from my garage. 🤣 I bought this darling chalkboard several weeks ago from my dear friend who has AMAZING taste and style, @arcyluna_74 (thank you once again, Amazing Lady!! 💖💞). It's been sitting in the garage since, waiting for me to do something with it. I pulled it out, and had fun hanging it up in our bedroom. I was going to draw something on the chalkboard, but I'm really loving the simplicity of this Spring wreath I made, which I hung over it instead. 🌿🌼 The decorating also motivated me to do some cleaning, and now the sofa in our bedroom is free of clothes! Haha! 🤣🤣
How are you coping with the at home quarantine situation? Are you shopping from your garage, basement, or she-shed too? 🙌🤗 🛍
When I stop to think about it, it's actually not all that bad... We have our family, a fridge full of food, phones and computers to stay connected with our loved ones, friends, and the rest of the world, a comfortable home, lots of books to read, and the chance to do lots of cleaning and vacuuming too... 😝 We have TP! 🤣🤦 And somewhere to shop for treasures from inside our own house!! 🤣
We truly are blessed. 🙏💞
I need to always remember this. 💖 Stay safe and healthy, my friend. Love and light to You always. 🌼🌿✨💞
Since eggs are scarce in stores right now, I can draw as much as I want of them, right? 😉🐣
I have seen so many lovely homes, and beautiful farmhouses since joining our amazing home decor community. Y'all inspire me each day, and help to fuel my happy dreams. 🤗🌼 Thank you for You. 💖
You see, it's my dream to live on a farm 🚜🏡🏞 with chickens 🐔🐤🐣, a rooster 🐓, and lots of fresh eggs. The simple life. 💞 In the meantime, I am grateful for what my family and I are blessed with. 💖 And I continue to keep my dream alive in my mind. 🤗💞
With so much time on our hands right now being at home, I feel there is no better time to work on ourselves, and keep our dreams alive, and thriving. 💞
Per the Great Albert Einstein, he said, "Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions."
I simply love that quote! In other words, Believe. Believe in your dreams. Keep previewing them in your mind. Follow your them. For they know the way. 💞
So keep dreaming. Keep working, keep building. Stay strong, stay happy, and healthy. Keep your vision burning brightly in the sacred hearth of your heart and mind. 💞🙏
We each have a bright future ahead of us. And we will continue to need each other's light as we all press forward together. 💖✨🌼🌱
What are your dreams? Are you living them right now, or working towards making them real in your life? 💞
Blessed. Overwhelmed. Trapped. Not necessarily in that order. I spent 7 hours on hold with an airline today trying to cancel my spring break flight. I know a lot of people have a lot to say about this whole situation. I’m just trying to do my part and stay sane. It looks like 12 hours in front of my computer trying to create web based lessons for my students and getting stir crazy. Then busting out into the mountains for two hours of touring so I don’t lose my ever loving mind. This photo is of a post work tour yesterday. It’s so much better looking then what most of my computer front day actually looks like. I’m used to moving most of the day every day. Now not climbing, barely skiing, feels like barely surviving. Maybe surviving but not living. I miss people. I miss nature. I miss having toilet paper. So that’s my two cents. #ug
