More Christmas decorating, watching movies with my eldest and napping are on today’s agenda. Love weekends where we sit. Have to be anywhere and there’s nothing pressing to do.
What have you got planned this weekend? .
Sometimes you just need to take a deep breath and listen to what the universe is telling you.
I have these grand plans in my head of how things should go and I must admit I’m the first person to beat myself up over not being as productive as I could be.
But these days, just as quickly, I’m reminded that God probably has other plans for me. That it doesn’t have to be on the schedule I believe it to be.
That I’m really, really lucky to be able to have these moments at home. To just be mum to my three babies. To just enjoy this slow life while I have it.
Because it won’t always be like this. And most importantly, they won’t always be like this.
Happy hump day, friends. .
It’s another round of #GlobalBohemianChic and this week Mollie @mollieandclyde was selected as a winner!
. 🦋 I’ve been following Mollie’s account for quite sometime now. From the first moment I saw it I was hooked by the groovy vibe of her MCM home. There’s some serious #madmenstyle going on in there! If you love mid-century mod you won’t be disappointed by her feed. Check it out!
How many shots does it usually take you to get a grid worthy image?? Do you snap & go or do you like to test the capacity of your iCloud storage? I usually take loaaaads & end up going for the very first one!! Typical. My process of elimination usually involves vetoing any that have rogue toddler hands in, any with surprise reflections of me (nobody needs that) or any that are too wonky. When I sit & think about it, it’s proper bizarre that sometimes I take time out of my day to take pictures of corners of my home, just ‘cos’. No one asked me to. What’s the purpose?? 🤔 I suppose it’s no different to when I was in uni though, posting entire albums of nights out 😬 no bugger ever asked to see those either!! Although I might treat you to a snap shot on stories later (queue my flatmate texting to ban me from posting anything with her in 😂😂) ✖️ lots of lust ✖️ .
Some tile samples have arrived for the powder room mistake rectifier 😭We forgot to cut a hole in the wall for the toilet flush plate and we didn’t realise the flush plate needs to sit on something deeper than just wall 😩
M O N O C H R O M E 🗡 As some of you might know, @nickfederighi and I —with plenty of help from skilled contractors, family, and friends—embarked on a massive living room renovation earlier this year. The project involved down-to-the-studs demolition, cutting in a door, complete reconstruction of a fireplace, crafting wainscoting, a shallow coffered ceiling, and a mantel surround, trading track lighting for recessed, and countless hours spent painting and retouching. This past Sunday marked the end of construction and the start of decorating. I can’t wait to share photos of our finished and furnished design in the coming weeks, but in the meantime, here is a glimpse of what we’ve been working so tirelessly on these past several months! Morning loveliest ones. I'm not going to moan on about it but I had the most dreadful sleep and was up every half our to hour from 11.30am. Gah. I feel sick with tiredness again.
Anyhow, in more relevant news I have a fascination with my beautiful new cushions and throw. Anyone who has been following a for a while will know I've been on the hunt for some for an age, so when the amazingly talented @caroleshepherdhomestylist offered to help style up my bedroom I was thrilled. Of course I loved what she picked and am now fascinated with them and wanting to style my whole house with new luxurious soft furnishings. I want a new piece of art for above my bed (I'm thinking of pinching the gorgeous Jo's most fabulous idea @life_with_holly and finding some beautiful wallpaper to frame). I also want a new bed frame 😬 However, this month I'll mostly be spending my pennies on presents for others. I have a number of birthdays to buy for over November and December and I think it is acceptable to start thinking about Christmas shopping now isn't it? I feel a list coming on.
Happy Sunday team. The red cups are back @starbucks so I reckon a mooch into town for a gingerbread latte may be on the cards this morning! What have you got planned today?
This one of a kind sofa table was put together by one of our clients. They had the Singer sewing machine base, cleaned and polished it, got a walnut live edge top from us, and WOW! What a unique piece of furniture! #wcfurniture#oneofakind#sofatable
Good evening instas 😍 I love the cold nights and sunny days at the moment everything is so pretty when the sun shines. Here’s a pic of the living room/dining room when I changed it up a bit last week 💜 #myhouse#myhome#myhouseishome#mylovelyhomelife

Monday's at the office are a bit more bearable with this view!
Day 24 @storyofmyhome - Just can't get enough..... .....of the great outdoors - especially in Autumn time. I love being outdoors. I love walking around town with the kids, seeing the conkers falling, smelling the woody damp air, I love going to the park, crunching the leaves, seeing the glow of colours amongst the grass and the trees, I love playing in the garden and breathing in the fresh air, I just love being outside. I love sleeping with the window open. Fresh air is so good for the soul right? I always wanted an outdoor job. My dream job would be working on a market stall on the square in Walford (Eastenders). Once I was in London in Portobello Market and there was a girl drinking a pint and wearing a trilby and selling christmas trees off the back of a truck. That for me is perfection.
Had a lot of outdoors today. It's been lovely. A lovely day with my 2 children. Hope it has been lovely for you as well x
