I’ll meet you at the top of the stairs on Confederation Square. I’ll be the one holding a red carnation in my hand...
No Ottawa statue is immune to being decorated at some point and Pierre Lemoyne d’Iberville is looking pretty dashing today.

Breathe steadily and deeply.
Breathing is one of the ways we build Qi-Energy. Keep conscious of your breath throughout the day, while at work, shopping, driving, walking or doing anything. Many people with allergies tend to breathe shallow or hold their breath too much. Practicing breathing exercises, yoga, qigong, meditation or tai chi are all good ways to get more in touch with your breathing. .
This Friday November 15th and Saturday November 16th from 10 am to 2 pm, the @museoparc invites you to a free presentation of a sweat lodge in its museum. The sweat lodge will be hosted by 3 Aboriginal guests from Quebec’s Témiscamingue region. Participants will be encouraged to paint stones and build wooden modules that represent the spirit of the ancestors. These modules will then be arranged around the sweat lodge in a crossroads spirit and blend cultures before the big closing performance on Sunday 17 November at 11am.
#vanier50#myottawa#Vanier

Our Crossing Guards are saving lives everyday. A heartfelt thanks to Larry (pictured here at his crosswalk and with his son and daughter) for his quick thinking and action this week: “I’m not sure who the crossing guard was that was on duty this afternoon, but they need to be given kudos.
My father picks up my son Tyler occasionally and today what he witnessed really shook him. Dad said that had it not been for the crossing guard Tyler would have died today. It was his turn to cross the street to get to my dad and when he was part way across, a car came speeding by, totally ignoring the crossing guard and came close enough to Tyler that Tyler felt the car. If it hasn’t been for the quick reflexes of the crossing guard pulling Tyler back and of harms way, this would be a very different email to the school.
If you know who was on duty today, please give them my heartfelt thanks.” – Parent of student at Longfields-Davidson Heights SS

I’ve been itching to color my hair for the longest time however I never had the guts to do so.
This product from @moroccanoil caught my attention as it is supposed to moisturize the hair and also leave color behind.
I purchased the travel size from #Sephora , ran me about $10 CAD. It was pretty easy to apply, smelled good and most importantly didn’t make my hair feel dry. I started the application with the gloves but I felt more at ease with my bare hands (it didn’t stain). Detangling under the shower was fine, after rinsing my hair out I used the @officialkinkycurly knot today leave in and curling custard to style my hair in a wash and go.
Fast forward to the next day, 100% dry, my hair had a slight tint of red if you looked VERY closely. It didn’t feel dry compared to when I would use a spray or wax temporary color.
Final thoughts: It was fun experience, you will probably have better luck with the color showing if you hair has been previously bleached or have lighter hair.

Meet Carole Cossette, Coordinator, Intake, Creative and Language Services at CIHI. “I joined CIHI in 2004. I was hired as a senior administrative assistant for the chief financial officer. Upon arrival on my first day, I found out that my new boss would be away for the next 3 or 4 months, so instead I would be working with human resources. A week later, I was off to Toronto for my first CIHI company-wide meeting — what an experience!
Over the past 14 years, I have worked in the Corporate Services branch or in the Client Experience branch, mostly as a senior administrative assistant to some of our vice presidents and directors. For the past 4 years, I was with our Education and Conferences department as the senior education assistant, taking care of logistics for the workshops we deliver across Canada. My work involved everything from securing venues and arranging the audiovisual equipment rental to ordering the catering for participants and answering email inquiries.
I absolutely love the versatility of this hat. The Freddie can fit many different head shapes and sizes.
My friend Amber has a much smaller head than me so the bumps are closer together and on the next picture you will see that they are more separate when I am wearing the beanie.
Come and try one on at @613flea this weekend from 10am-4pm.
I also have them in children sizes. 🥰

My first craft show was a great success! We sold over half of my stock, received awesome feedback, compliments and encouragement!
It was so great having my mum by my side all day to help out especially since she was the one who introduced me to knitting when I was 6 years old. Thank you to all my friends and colleagues who popped by to say hi!
All the prep work and build up for yesterday was well worth it despite my exhaustion and swollen extremities from pregnancy😆
I truly had a fun time talking to everyone about each item I made, plus raising funds for a fantastic cause.
I’m not taking any custom orders until end of January, so please favourite my Etsy store for updates and get notified about in stock items😊
Meanwhile in Canada ❄️❤️❄️ #winterwonderland .
We woke up to a winter wonderland today! I have to admit we were pretty excited about all this fresh powder! That also means it’s going to be a long winter so ask me again how I feel in a couple of months 😬😂
Who else is excited about snow and winter?
“It’s a Bear in a Tree!
Imagine our surprise when we pulled around the corner and saw this guy just taking it all in while it was pouring rain.
He didn’t seem to have a care in the world.
I thought it was so cute the way his paws were crossed in front of him like he was settling in for a good movie.
This was definitely one of the cutest things I have seen!”

The mix of winter and fall. I do love the look of snow, it's beautiful. I just hate the freezing cold temperatures! Oh well. Comes with our location I guess 😝🇨🇦 . @scottfphotos and I are off to Montreal tomorrow for a little weekend getaway! We really love that city and all of its photography opportunities.
