What is one of your favorite December activities? My little family has built quite a few traditions over the years. My kids get excited to pull out our Christmas/December books. We read a different Christmas or winter themed book everyday leading up to the 25th. We’ve collected some great books! I look forward to wrapping presents. I know this is a chore for some, but I love the gathering of supplies, making tags and putting the gifts together. .
Friends, we need your help! We are trying to hit that big scary goal of 10K followers here. Can you do us a quick favor? Tag a friend, like and comment this post and/or share a post of ours? We truly have the best followers and we’d love for you to share us with your friends. We are working on a BIG “favorite things 10K giveaway” and we’re so excited to help 10 of you do some early Christmas shopping. .

I LOVE having some sort of greenery (aka fake plants 😜) in every room of my house. 🌿 It is kind of one of my personal decorating rules for my home. For Christmas, I just add some red berry sprigs to make them more festive! 🎄 #magnoliamamashome

B was a little thrown off when I told her we first have to fluff the Branches...🤔 😂
She said I can’t wait to go to sleep here tonight 🥰🌲✨
Checking things off the list before we leave for vacation in a few days and it feels so good! Finally spread cover crop seed in the dahlia field and now I only have a few more projects to knock out. After a jam-packed and wonderful season, I’m looking forward to an adventure away from the farm (we’re heading to Costa Rica!) .

It is hard to believe last year I was running a sign business and cutting out words. Part of me misses it and the other part of me is loving it. This little shop was something I had poured my heart and soul into ..... but it just wasn’t the right time. My handwriting and reclaimed wood signs got knocked off in China and were popping up in big retailers. But most importantly I was missing WAY too much of my kids growing up. I only get this time with them once .... so I am trying to soak it all up!!! And if I am being honest I haven’t regretted that decision! I have had many questions about my signs and if I am bringing them back. At this point we are not. I am so sorry. To support other small shops o have a week of fun giveaways planned. So make sure to check and check my stories today to a fun giveaway!!!! .
This front porch of @ourfigtreecottage with my joy letters from last year is my favorite. #christmasdecor#christmasfrontporch
