My day started with an Açaí Bowl and a Latte, the same as it would back home. The patio was windy and I sat alone. I notice people as they walk by, specifically one fella on a skateboard in designer shoes. I thought to myself, “Is he really skating in ‘Comme de Garçon’s’? Those are $150 shoes.” I won’t even skate in my Nikes, but hey, that’s London for ya. 🤷🏻♂️ I rode the Tube down to Big Ben. Enveloped entirely by scaffolding, the tower is unidentifiable unless you’re standing on A3211 (Victoria Embankment). In fact, I walked right by the clock tower having not seen it. This is what I get for planning ahead. 🙄 Lunch consisted of Salmon Tartine at a table for one. Rain danced on the asphalt as people ran for cover. I’m noticing a trend in London’s weather. Cloud’s roll in around the time I’m due for a late afternoon nap. Works outs in my favor. Time to hit the sheets with a Latte and Pastel de Nata (Portuguese custard tart). Cheerio mates! 👋🏽
loon, 2019 .
“Hello,” an echo fallen down a hallway, “you hear me talk, speak, muffle, babble, mumble, pronunciate, announce?” You hear a tone that grasps your waist and pulls you in, closer, into the moment, with the moment itself.
You, loon, do not wait around, you do not dwell, do not hesitate. You choose, you take, you own. But twice and again. A step forward, then back, between the doorway. Forward and on.
I trust you to walk right through it, loon, a leap of faith. Faint. Say.
Wow, I mean like seriously wow. I stepped outside to take a picture of the moon because of how beautiful it looked against the clouds. Then I saw how the light on my front porch was illuminating the flowers and had to take a picture of it while trying my best to capture the moon in the background. then i simply added a long exposure of the stars into the mix. minimally edited. it honestly looks as if these were taken on another planet.
