The brahminy kite formerly known as the red-backed sea-eagle in Australia, is a medium-sized bird of prey in the family Accipitridae, which also includes many other diurnal raptors, such as eagles, buzzards, and harriers. They are found in the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, and Australia. They are found mainly on the coast and in inland wetlands, where they feed on dead fish and other prey. Adults have a reddish-brown body plumage contrasting with their white head and breast which make them easy to distinguish from other birds of prey.

An elegant stream of water and a Majestic beauty on it!
This is the charm of tiger safaris in India. On a hot burning day, we roamed through out the jungle for hours and we saw nothing but us. Finally when all Hope's are gone... I said to myself, let's enjoy the beauty of jungle, atleast try for it (never worked that way for me though) and waited on a shade near a stream of water. We heard deer calls in a brief amount of time. I stood up and scanned through... couldn't believe my eyes. There she is... the most talked about Jungle queen - Spotty. She walked straight towards us and lied down few meters away on the water stream.
The scenic route to these beautiful Alang Madan Kulang peaks. As the sky slowly started to turn yellow, I could see the beautiful mountain range of Alang Madan and Kulang. The trio mountains are said to be a must to do treks in Maharashtra.
