‘I am water. To humans, I am simply just there. I’m something they just take for granted. But there is only so much of me, and more and more of them every single day. I start as rain in the mountains, flow to the rivers and streams, and end up in the ocean. Then the cycle begins again... and it will take me 10,000 years to get back to the state I’m in now. But to humans, I’m just water. Just there. Where will humans find me when there are billions more of them around? Where will they find themselves? Will they wage wars over me like they do over everything else? That’s always an option, but it’s not the only option’ Water (Penélope Cruz) - Nature is Speaking films Conservation International
In 2014 Conservation International released a series of films as an invitation to the human race to start listening to nature. 6 years later this could not be more imperative...we better start listening and listening now! 🌍 Nature’s message to humanity is simple: Nature doesn’t need people. People need nature. 🌳🍃🌍

I captured this one morning when the fog was rolling into the valley.
The visual is eerie while beautiful, similar to obsidian itself. Obsidian is basically volcanic glass and resulted from molten lava that was rapidly chilled.
Protective, grounding, & a mirror into to our own darkness—a tool to become aware & see our ‘shadow self.’ Just as the Earth spins creating day & night, black obsidian is a reminder we all have a ‘darker’ side of ourselves that, for one reason or another, avoid ever acknowledging and facing.

Walking amongst the giant Douglas firs of Cathedral Grove in British Columbia truly is awe-inspiring. Standing among trees that are roughly 800 years old is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. 🌲@wegothatway#thediscoverer#nowdiscovering
