In law, you must report certain workplace injuries, near-misses and cases of work-related disease to HSE. This duty is under the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations, known as RIDDOR.
True story: the other day I was cutting chipboard using my Cricut True Control Knife and the cutting ruler when one of my boys came barreling into my craft room with a dump truck—and rammed straight into the back of my legs. I have never been so darn thankful for the raised edge on that ruler. Pretty sure I would have needed stitches if that guard hadn't protected my fingers from the knife. WHEW. I didn't realize that crafting was a contact sport! #cricut#cricutmade#cricutcreated#nearmiss#closecall
Obligatory Pancake Day stack! They worked out ok in the end...once I realised that the oomph was gone from my self raising flour! 😂 Still, better to find out today rather than in a week’s time when there’s a birthday cake to be made! 😳
Potato Chips were the cause...damn chips *
* words below *
I can’t breathe, a choked up feeling
Sealing airways lodged in throat dealing
With coughing, eyes watering, no breath
I’m tossing and shaking toward death
No ref, this is it, no foul play in this moment
Potent slow gasping, what is my opponent
An object or objects which crossed my lips
I collapse to the floor, the cause was chips.
Not every driving video captured by BlackVue and sent to us to be featured on our website is of a spectacular car collision. Sometimes - or, actually, pretty often - we receive footage of close calls recorded by the users’ BlackVue dashcams.
We collected five such close calls into a compilation video, which you can watch here (or by clicking the thumbnail above). The videos featured in the video are recorded by the BlackVue DR900S-2CH dashcams and the DR750S-2CH dashcam.
Whether it’s a situation caused by bad driving, retaliatory behavior or an emergency braking on the road, near misses are more common than you think.
And you? Have you encountered a close call recently?
Don't wait until something happens. Get your dashcam today at www.blackvue.com.
Please remember that #CaughtOnBlackVue an ongoing event and it’s never too late to send us your video!

Took this awesome shot on my dive yesterday on my birthday! This lucky turtle only has 3 fins which means that it only barley missed being on the menu of one of the hawksbill turtle’s natural predators, like a tiger shark.

🚧😵👊🏼Watch this video to understand what 'defensive' driving mean (the driver of the Porsche) and also what 'reckless' driving means (the driver of the truck). ⏲Just 1 second delay and the outcome would've been much worse but the Porsche driver was vigilant and saved the day!👍🏼🙏🏼
😬Was this truck driver out of order, overtaking along the edge of the road, or was the driver unconscious? Trucks need much more time to stop so brake must be pressed on time. It seems that was far too late!😶 At least, the driver pulled off and did not hit those cars...😬...!
What was the most reckless thing you did or saw? 😮Please share it in the comment section!
Aurora Borealis, or the northern lights, occur when particles from the sun funnel into a planets poles, guided by the planets magnetic field. These particles hit gases in the atmosphere and cause them to light up- kind of like how we apply energetic particles to gas filled tubes in fluorescent lighting. Only way prettier.
