Let us out of here!!!
Day 136,354 of Quarantine....Or so it feels! 😫Even Kylo is beginning to feel the walls closing in.
For him it means no more doggy day care during the week. No more socialization with his furry friends 5+ hours a day. We can’t even have playtime with other dogs on our walks because that requires mommy getting within 6ft of a neighbor.
It doesn’t help that this week has been primarily rainy, dark and dreary affecting the small amount of time we have been able to get outside for a walk. We both need some sunshine and a break from these 4 walls.
Anyone else starting to feel the stir crazy besides us? What are you all doing to keep sane out there?
I think I’d seriously go crazy without my fit fam community. We are kicking off our next group, “Calm Throughout The Storm” on April 1st where we’ll be sharing everything from health tips to sanity tips during this crazy time! Join us by commenting ⚓️ below!
Our most recent production of HOLES. Each hole in the raked platform also passes through the surface of the stage and into the trap room below, usually in two stages to allow for the illusion of holes getting dig deeper over time. All the vertical surfaces are actually thickly painted muslin that the TD Emily stapled in place during the load in process. Something like 7,000 staples went into this set 😳 #fsct#firststage#milwaukee#holes#technicaldirector#needmore staples #watchyourstep#frompagetostage
This is the time to show your sincerity towards your nation. In this difficult situation, every one is needy and every one need help. But our budget is limited. We want more help.

Which in my eyes felt like a lifetime
I have friends who have been trying for years... it is such a frustrating time in your life when you want something so bad and it cant just happen. The doctor always says “ stress less” well that’s fucking impossible- I honestly would thrive off other people telling me what worked for them and I would stand on my head if they said it . So here’s what I think happened...aka list of distractions ✔️I got a new job #morelife
✔️signed up for a marathon #cancelledit
✔️booked a trip ☀️ #cancelledit ✔️gave less fucks #stilldo
✔️drank wine #misswine
✔️made more girlfriend dates #needmore
✔️kept busy #pregnancyflubusy
I’m not telling you this will work for you- but I’m telling you something will- keep trying I’m rooting for you and your mini 💕
If you need me, I’ll be in the bath. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Let’s talk about baths. Are you a bath-taker? Or even a bubble bath connoisseur? Some people are are strictly showers only, and others can live as prunes in the tub. I will say, surroundings permitting, there is something serene and soothing about enjoying a hot bath. I would even consider it one of my preferred ways to unwind. Turns out research been conducted investigating the benefits of baths—and here you have ‘em! According to Diane Kopman via Pentucket Medical, here are the health benefits of taking a bath: improve heart health, increase lung capacity and oxygen intake, reduce inflammation, relieve symptoms of cold & flu, decrease pain, calming for joints, reduces stress, balances hormones, and raises our body’s core temperature.
WOW! It makes total sense why humans have been drawing long warm baths for centuries. I know every day is not bubble bath-worthy, but this justifies a few more soaks. Also it’s fun and useful to know the science behind some of our daily activities. Maybe 2020’s resolution should include more baths? Probably. Especially with reading lists that include @rupikaur_ and suds from @bendsoapcompany .
So REALLY, if you need me I’ll be in the bath. -JL🖤
