Ghost Ranch is this amazing artist retreat center in Abiquiu, New Mexico where Georgia O’Keefe created her famed Pedernal paintings. Red rock country hikes and so many wide open spaces... my heart. 🥰 #ghostranch#newmexicotrue#redrockcountry

Tbh, I will probably continue wearing this mask even when the pandemic is over because it really fits my aesthetic. But for real... wear your masks!! Worst case scenario: you are mildly uncomfortable for a short period of time in public. (I do recognize that there are people who have serious claustrophobia/anxiety issues when they have something covering their mouth, but I don’t get the sense that the majority of people who aren’t wearing masks fall into this category). Best case scenario: you help save a life. Middle case scenario (and also equally important): you help assuage the fear of someone who has a lot of anxiety surrounding COVID-19; they will likely feel more comfortable and respected knowing that the people in their community around them are taking precautions to ensure everyone’s safety. To me, when I wear a mask, it simply signifies to others that I care about their well-being, and that I wish to keep my community as safe as possible. And on a personal— and totally selfish— level: countries are reopening their borders, but excluding travelers from the USA because our cases are so astronomically high. As Argentina considers opening its border (who knows when), I fear that they may follow suit, continuing the ban for US flights. It’s been 5.5 months since I’ve seen Mariano. So in a nutshell... #wearadamnmask so ya girl can make it back to South America to be with her man!! 😷 #quarantinechic#communitybuilding#maskgoals#arroyoseco
I took this on my birthday three months ago. Quarantine seemed like something we were all pulling together to get done, as we saw in other countries of the world who banded together (separately) and did what was right to save lives. Now we have citizens who are as petulant as children, going about their lives as if people aren’t dying and saying no to wearing a mask just to be difficult (whatever excuses they dream up to not do so). No, there’s not much to be proud of here. I am so tired of living in a country that’s the laughingstock of the entire planet because of our over-inflated ego and population of spoiled, selfish children. Help your neighbor. Wear a goddamn mask.
