My next #met season award is the Silver Slugger award. Pete Alonso wins this award after a historic rookie year. He hit the most home runs ever by a rookie. He also lead all of MLB with 53 of them. He was also 4th in RBIs (120), 9th in Slugging (.583), and 11th in OPS (.941). Don’t expect this to be my last award for him
❌SOLD❌This is a pretty sweet MLB Fall Classic New York vs New York T-shirt. Crispy white in excellent condition!

My City. Don’t let this weekend get away. Budget your time on truly important things. Lavish it on people you love and the things you enjoy. Spend it wisely👍🏻. I also want to thank you all very much. I finally got my Gmail account back. Grateful for all your comments & support. Very thankful to the Googler in New York that helped me out. You know who you are

This home run seen here is a result of years of failures, years of coaches, and years of practices. Raw talent was never enough, not for the Majors. It’s preparation, it’s confidence and it’s never having that feeling of doubt so you are able to put fear in the pitcher in front of you. .
Posted @withrepost • @beisbol_cronico Mo Vaughn conecta enorme cuadrangular ante los envios de David Wells. 🔥😳😱💪 ¿Ya cayó?
Next player grade is Steven Matz. Matz our together a healthy year and was a solid rotation option for the Mets. He’s no DeGrom, but he’s a solid arm to back up our big three in the rotation. He doesn’t have the stats to blow you away but the lefty can be dominant at times. Expect an improvement from him next season.
Last evening, I was oddly, out of the blue, drawn to this baseball in our living room TV cabinet. Then I remembered it was an autographed game ball from the 1969 World Series. But what really spooked me was that the ball was from 50 years ago last night, the night the legendary Mets beat the Orioles to win the series. Recognize any familiar names: Berra, Seaver, Staub, Agee, McGraw, Koosman, and more. Sending this to the safe deposit box. #mets#newyorkmets#baseball#miraclemets
On this day in 1923 at the Polo Grounds in Manhattan, Babe Ruth and the New York Yankees defeated their crosstown rival New York Giants to win their first World Series. The Yankees who played at the Polo Grounds from 1913 to 1922 moved into brand new Yankee Stadium less than a mile away across the Harlem River in the Bronx in 1923. The Polo Grounds was the name of 4 different ballparks in Manhattan starting in 1880, most notably the version located in Upper Manhattan that was home to the Giants from 1891 until they moved to San Francisco after the 1957 season. It was also the first home of the Mets in 1962 and '63. Like many ballparks built in the deadball era, it had very odd dimensions. It was only 258' to RF foul pole, 279' to left, and a massive 483' to dead center. The Polo Grounds was demolished in 1964. A plaque commemorates where home plate was once located. The only other reminder of Polo Grounds is the John T. Brush Stairway which leads down Coogan’s Bluff to where the ballpark was located. #pologrounds#newyorkyankees#newyorkgiants#newyorkmets#1923yankees#baberuth#yankees#giants#mets#worldseries#playoffs#mlb#stadiums#ballparks#baseball

Citi Field and Shea Stadium side by side in 2008 shorty before the demolition of Shea and completion of Citi Field. In the New York Mets' final seasons at Shea, the new ballpark could be seen beyond centerfield under construction. The Mets called the 55,600 seat Shea Stadium home from 1964 to 2008. Built in 1964 it was named after William Shea, who was most responsible for bringing National League baseball back to New York after the departure of the Dodgers and Giants. Many memorable moments happened here, including the 1969 miracle Mets and the 1986 world champion Mets. The ballpark was also home to the New York Jets until 1983. Citi Field has been the home of the Mets since 2009 and was the site of the 2013 All Star game and 2015 World Series. #sheastadium#citifield#shea#mets#newyorkmets#nymets#lgm#ballparks#mlb#stadiums#baseball#queensny#queens#flushingmeadows#NYC#newyork#newyorkcity
