Dreaming of Motukiekie 💛 •
Looking down over these beautiful sea stacks...this lookout was definitely a highlight of our time exploring New Zealand’s West Coast! You can actually walk along the beach with these giants if you time your visit with low tide which sadly we did not 😢 Oh well another excuse to go again... 😍

Little boxes on the hillside
Little boxes all the same
That said, Wellingtons houses aren't all the same. The city is a mishmash of architectural styles, colours, designs and influences. It's probably part of why it looks so picturesque on a sunny day.
This great photo from above from @airnapier as they fly out of the city.
It was a winter day at the end of July, we started hiking at 4 am in the morning and it was pretty warm for a winter. It was my first hike since May (where I got injured), I was so out of shape! But after 3 hours going up, we got to the top. We've been up here many times, but this was the first time in winter.
It is interesting that, from all the times we've been here (always in summer) this time, was the warmer and nicer one. We could even fly the drone! There was no wind at all!
Nature and life are so unpredictable right? But that teaches us a lesson: Never stop doing something you love or you want because it is supposed to turn this or that way. We never know how things will turn out, so play your cards with confidence, because among the imposible, there is always a chance. Always prepare for the cold, but let nature and life surprise you with the warmest day of winter while you are in the top of the mountain. What were the odds of that?, Right? ✨
Well this was a terrifying ascent... clinging to fallen rock above the clouds for a mystifying sundown ☁️ tbh it was also a terrifying descent - when you climb something steep that pushes your limits, is it worse going up? Or coming back down? 😅

I would absolutely love to go to Milford Sound to see a sunset like this, it looks incredible. 🥰
🌜🌞🌛 Elegance is a glowing inner peace. Grace is an ability to give as well as to receive and be thankful. Mystery is a hidden laugh always ready to surface! Glamour only radiates if there is a sublime courage & bravery within: glamour is like the moon; it only shines because the sun is there. 🌙 Happy Friday! #cjoybellc
Welcome to New Zealand! 💙⠀
A few days ago we arrived in our dream destination and we’ve been loving every minute! 🤗⠀
We had pretty high expectations but WOW - the landscape is more lush, the lakes are more blue and the people are even friendlier than our wildest dreams! 👏🏼⠀
We’ve started our month in this country by driving through the South Island and this has been our favorite spot to date - Lake Pukaki 😍⠀
The Gatorade-blue water goes for miles and miles and waking up right here with a view of Mt. Cook couldn’t have been more incredible 🤗⠀
Is New Zealand on your bucketlist??⠀
- this shot is from the Lake Pukaki Reserve Campsite which is FREE and the most beautiful campsite we’ve ever seen! 😱⠀
- this is a great place to stay before heading to Mount Cook/Hooker Valley Track 😴⠀
- GPS coordinates for this shot: (-44.184220, 170.150780) 📍⠀

I'm not much of a city girl in general but it is always good to dip into the hussle and bussle from time to time. Auckland Skytower has glass floors at the viewing deck so might not be for those with a fear of heights!
