Visiting the Lofoten Islands, one will undoubtedly learn about the historical importance of commercial cod fishing and the traditional fishing villages that abound across the archipelago. Here are the remains of stockfish air-dried on racks to a bark-like consistency. In the background, a quintessential red rorbuer (fisherman’s cabin) sits on spindly stilts over the chilly waters and a craggy mountain extends upward directly from the sea. // Lofoten Islands, Norway.

🌿Comment progresser en photographie ? 🌿

I’ve spoken in lengths about the importance of an engagement session prior to your wedding day. It’s the best way to ensure: 🤘You’ve chosen a photographer that compliments you and your partner ✌️ You build rapport with your photographer so when your big day arrives there are no awkward moments

Basically me without my coffee...little Yellow-Rumped Warbler 😊
Barred Owl Portrait
This adorable Barred Owl patiently waited as photographers eagerly clicked away, getting as many photos as they could of this beautiful creature. My first Raptor Photography Workshop was a hit, with many already asking when the next session will be held! More photos coming soon.
Many thanks to The Canadian Raptor Conservancy for allowing us to get close to their trained birds safely and getting invaluable experience for wild encounters!

Today I discovered that bees have two stomachs - one stomach for eating and the other special stomach is for storing nectar collected from flowers or water so that they can carry it back to their hive.
Unfortunately I don't have the good photo of a bee. Tried to capture it during the summer, and didn't succeed. One day, for sure...
Well it looks like everyone I know is heading up to @assiniboinelodge for the next couple of weeks. So I decided to do a throw back to one of the most incredible views out there. Swipe through to see the entire pano. This is still one of my top selling images.
Desire is a contract that you make with yourself, to be unhappy until you get what you want.

Newfoundland doesn't have much topsoil, which restricts the types of flowers and plants that people can grow. But the island does a great job all on its own and makes sure that every bit of soil is covered in beautiful mosses and #nativeplants . Did you notice the distant houses?

One thing you don't see quite as much of while in the beautiful mountains of British Columbia is. So of course, when I saw this one in Fernie, I just needed to capture it! How beautiful are those colours?
Extremely grateful for such an amazing vet who is willing to try anything to get Timber better! But not anything that’s going to break my bank and is all natural!! Today Timber got some new supplements and had a rectal ozone treatment preformed which should help increase the flow of red blood cells to help with his digestive issues as well as encouraging the fast healing of his leg post op! Like how freakin’ cool is that?!
