I really LOVE water! 💧 I love playing in my water bowls. I run to the kitchen whenever I hear the ice maker- because ice on the floor is super fun! I LOVE playing in my pool and blowing bubbles. ICE in my pool is even better! It's like bobbing for apples! Since I'm the little sister I also quite enjoy trying to get my big brother all wet since he won't play water fun with me! 💦
A Dining room is where we eat. In addition, very often, the dining room is also used for other activities like a children’s play area or place for study and homework, reading, writing, entertainment, board games, sewing, or watching TV.
With that being said, which dining room do you see yourself in?
How beautiful is this place? 😍 Thank you for this 📸 @calibreus!

Happy Friday! I am so excited to take the 30-Day "Why I love where I live" challenge. Thank you @nazarethhomes
for challenging me to share a few reasons why Northern California is such an awesome place to call home!
REASON NUMBER ONE:
Enjoy a scenic two-hour drive along winding roads, through the Sierra Foothills above California's capital city of Sacramento, and you will find yourself in a very special place. Many consider Lake Tahoe one of the most beautiful spots on the planet and for good reason. Lake Tahoe, the Jewel of the Sierras, located at 6,225 feet above sea level is one of the deepest, clearest, and coldest lakes on earth. Fed by 63 tributaries, mostly snow runoff from the surrounding granite peaks, and only one outlet, the Truckee river.
Many Sacramento area residents enjoy escaping to Tahoe on the weekends, especially in the wintertime for it's world class skiing. But, what many don't know, is that Lake Tahoe enjoys over 270 days of sunshine each year, even more than the Sacramento Valley below. I personally enjoyed 13 winters at the Lake, as it's fondly identified by locals, and my son was born there. Tahoe will always be home in my heart, and is one of the many, many reasons why Northern California is an amazing place to call home.
⫷✤⫸ Myself with my step-father at the time, in the Black Hills. SD, 1979.
From the ages of 5 to 13, I lived within the Native American culture (although I cannot and do not claim it as my own). My stepfather was an Oglala Lakota man (Sounding Sides) from the Pine Ridge Reservation of South Dakota. We often visited Rosebud and Pine Ridge—going to wakes, visiting relatives and attending pow pows. We moved to the RockyBoy Reservation (Chippewa/Cree) in Montana when I was in 5th grade. There are many stories and experiences from these years but the memory that I would like to share is from when I was 9 years old...
In the summer of 1979 a group of Oglala Lakota gathered high up in the mountains of Custer State Park in the BlackHills, which was, and still is, considered extremely sacred ground to them. That said, the land they gathered on was federally owned and they were “trespassing”. There were around 250 people from all ages—Elders down to babies—and they had gathered on their sacred land to perform the Sun Dance, which had been illegal up until the year before (1978) when Congress passed the American Indian Religious Freedom Act (AIRFA).
I didn’t know any of this at the time but I remember arriving late in the night. Pulling up to the check-point at the perimeter of the camp, there were bright lights shining into the car and men with rifles asking us to open the trunk and looking under blankets. In the morning I woke up in a large tepee with the warm color of daylight shining through the canvas. When I stepped outside I saw that we were positioned up on a hill overlooking a large meadow. It was full of tepees spread out against the golden grass, with their peaks reaching upwards towards the blue sky. Of course, there were horses and vehicles too but it’s the tepees I remember the most because I had never seen that many in one place before. The scene was beautiful and awe-inspiring, and even at a young age, I knew I was looking at something powerful.

After an entire day of driving, sleeping the night and then driving again - we finally made it to Shasta Lake 🙌 -
After planning this trip forever, we finally borrowed Jay's Dad sick RV to travel all the way from Santa Barbara. Blasting music, listening to podcasts and playing "would you rather" got us through 8+ hours of driving. Then we stayed at a campground, met some really nice people, watched some movies and admired the view (picture above). And of course - we've been cooking some delicious food (& eating chocolate vegan cakes outside at night 😏😂) -
Happy Memorial Day fam! Hope you’re able to get outside and enjoy some fresh air today 🥰

[ad] Doing tree pose next to these beauties seemed like the perfect way to honor them 🙏🏻 ⠀
Want to know a secret for how you can plant a tree without ever leaving your house? Keep reading!
@BlackForestUSA is running an incredible initiative where they've committed $1.5MM to the National Forest Foundation (@NationalForests) to help plant 1.5 million trees across U.S. forests that have been impacted by wildfires by 2022.
But on top of that, Black Forest is working to build the first-ever Virtual National Forest and for every image YOU contribute, they'll donate an additional $1 to the cause (up to $50k)! ⠀
Here's how it works:
1) Use the #🐻❤️🌲 hashtag on any new or previously posted tree photo in your Instagram feed! Too easy.
2) Click the hashtag to explore and enjoy the beautiful virtual forest they've created so far - it's a great way to bring a little calm and serenity to your day
PS - the more times you use the hashtag, the more trees will be planted.
If you guys add to the Virtual National Forest, I'd love for you to tag me and I'll repost in my stories! ❤

Yesterday was my 𝘣𝘪𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘥𝘢𝘺 ! It’s my personal New Years. I have so many new goals and I’m so excited. Thank you to everyone who sent flowers to my home, gifts, called, and texted me ! Remembering your people’s birthdays is so important; many people do not get the privilege to grow old. The shirt says it ALL! .
Never would have I imagined my life taking such a direction, never would have I envisioned such a collective of empowerment, of dreamers of believers of doers! Against all odds and all “insecurities” never would I have pictured myself in this shirt with a smile so filled with hope and expectation that my dreams are so close I can smell them! All because of my YES. .
My Yes to this incredible opportunity to be exactly who I was created to be. FREE INDEED. Free to share my faith journey. Free to share my favorite beauty products. Free to empower women to feel their very best. Free to lead a tribe and be unapologetically a BOSS. Free to Preach to the top of the Empire State Building. Free to put on a dang T-shirt that reps two things I would have been SO afraid to share on social just a few years ago. JESUS and MONAT😆 .
Ohhhhhh goodbye small, fearful of what others may say, playing it safe, let me not offend anyone, put others before me at the expense of my own heart, afraid of the power of her own voice because it doesn’t say what the world may say and HELLO SAVAGE WOMAN OF GOD ON A MISSION! .
Marching into this season like bye Felicia ✌🏽 Who’s with me? Are you hearing this woman with a dream? Are you listening mamas at home or who wish to be home with the kiddos, students with the stacked loans not sure what the heck that BA is gonna do for you, actors, dancers, artists sick and tired of waiting tables, praying for the next gig to keep you sane and your soul from not dying?! Girl with fire in her eye to reshape her family legacy and breakout of old cycles of pay check to paycheck and lack?!! You don’t have to hate what you do for a living. Step into passion THIS IS THE KEY TO A NEW INHERITANCE
And there’s one with your name on it!
Claim it SIS👏🏽 I’ll be waiting for you
