Dining on the verandah, picnics in the backyard or at the beach, treasures brought home from bush walks to live on windowsills - in fact the outside inside life of the Top End - is celebrated in the wonderful joint exhibition on at the moment at @outstation_gallery

Although we see hundreds of Termite mounds on our day trips, it’s very rare to be able to pull over and take a pic. We’d passed this beauty on our first trip to Berry Springs Nature park, but somehow couldn’t find it on our return!🤨
So on our last visit we drove ever so slowly along the road to the springs until we spotted it!🤓
Termites are remarkable engineers of the insect world, I admire their work, but not on our property!😁🐜🐜🐜 #cathedraltermitemound#termites#topend#northernterritory#darwin
On our 3500klm trek through central Northern Territory. We are carrying all our own bio fuel freshly made from our farm. 540 liters, enough for most of the trip. This leg of the trip took us from over near the Western Australia border to central NT through the Tanami desert. 1000klm of mongrel tracks and corrugated roads in a grueling 15 hour drive. Pulled into Alice springs for some much needed trailer repairs.
My little man actually stood still long enough for me to get a nice shot of him in the sunset! The beach at low tide is such a wonderful place to spend the evening - dogs to play with, birds to chase, and endless strange smells to investigate. Doggy bliss!
👏 Congratulations @rowan_rowdy_sutton 👏 Your photo has been chosen as today’s second feature!! •

FAMILY • CONNECTION
Langaliki Lewis comes from a creative family – her mother, father and sister are all highly acclaimed artists at @ernabella_arts_pukatjapottery, Australia’s oldest indigenous arts centre. Joined by her cousin Tjulyata, the pair took up residence in the Dune House ‘studio’ for a few days recently, overcoming shyness to give guests a first-hand glimpse into the creative process and meaning behind their intricate artworks. In a lovely exchange, Langaliki gathered many stories to tell her three daughters and family back home, from spotting tinka (lizard) tracks on the dune top, to seeing Uluru and enjoying bottomless cups of tea.
Over the last few days we travelled 4,000kms from the central coast to Yulara, Northern Territory.
There were a number of thorny devils attempting to cross the road around Yulara, both early morning and late afternoon, most of which had been struck and killed by cars! We did manage to see two live thorny devils and we quickly helped this male cross the road safely! @jarrad.wild.life@australianreptilepark@timswildlife
