Clare Townley, 2018 Gillian Dickinson North East Young Sculptor award winner, speaks of the support she received when bringing her winning installation to life: “When there appeared to be difficulties, it was great to be able to talk to someone who had masses of experience within the art world and together we were able to overcome challenges and move the project forward.” http://bit.ly/gdneys2019

Lying just a few miles off the Northumberland coast, Holy Island is cut twice a day from the rest of the world by the fast moving tide.
At the furthest point of the Island, Lindisfarne Castle rises from the sheer rock face.
Along the harbour you can find the famous fishermen huts with a stunning view of Lindisfarne in the distance.
Featuring an incredible image of Lindisfarne Castle by @_jakecarley 👏🏻

Each year over 55,000+ pairs of puffins return to the Farne Islands, lying just off the North Northumberland Coast.
The best time to see puffins in Northumberland are from mid-April to late July, when the loveable sea birds return to nest and raise their young on the rocky cliffs.
One of the UK's best wildlife experiences, just a short boat ride away.
Who’s taking a trip next year?!
