I’m not big on things like the ‘decade challenge’ but....10 years ago, on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving some mutual friends set up a happy hour at Fado’s so Andrew & I could meet. They thought we might hit it off. We ended up liking each other ok 🤪. Swipe over to see those baby faces (it’s actually from early 2010, but it’s the best I could find!)

I feel like all I've posted lately is about yoga and meditation - So here's me jumping on the 10 Year Challenge.
This is more like 7.5 years but I didn't really exist in photos for most of my mid 20s to early 30s due to feeling like shit in my own skin and body.
A little part of how much I progressed in this decade of teaching myself to draw better.
Is really difficult and you not always get what you hope, but just like what Bob Ross once said “As long as you’re learning, you’re not failing”.
Something you realize in this journey is that the only thing that can make you improve in this is die hard practice. So I’ll tried to be better the next year and all the years that comes.
And I’ll be more active in this days sooooo stay toned.
6-inch casings litter the deck of the USS Miami (CL-89) after it shelled the Palau Islands on September 7, 1944.
USS Miami (CL-89) was one of 26United States Navy Cleveland-classlight cruisers completed during or shortly after World War II. The ship, the second US Navy ship to bear the name, was named for the city of Miami, Florida. Miami was commissioned in December 1943, and saw service in several campaigns in the Pacific. Like almost all her sister ships, she was decommissioned shortly after the end of the war, and never saw active service again. Miami was scrapped in the early 1960s.
🇬🇧 The Berghof was built in 1916 as a "Landhaus Wachenfeld" for a north German merchant. From 1928 the country house was Hitler's rented holiday home. After the seizure of power in 1933, he bought it and gradually began to expand it by the architect Alois Degano, then Roderich Fick to the Berghof, his prestigious residence. It then formed the core of the Führer-Sperrgebietes Obersalzberg, which became the second seat of government with the construction of the "Small Reich Chancellery" (Bischofswiesen / Stangass) 1937 and the airport Reichenhall-Berchtesgaden a central place of power in the Nazi German Reich. Overall, Hitler spent about a third of his reign on the Berghof, so altogether four years. International diplomats and politicians came to negotiations for Berghof.

As Nijmegen slowly falls back under Allied control, captured Germans are being questioned about there current situation. Knowing they are on the losing hand they still know to hold out for many more month's.
