The open-style hand rolls at Nami Nori @naminori.nyc totally lived up to their reputation. I absolutely LOVED this place and could see myself rearranging my whole live-work schedule to eat there on a regular basis. They only take a limited number of reservations a night so most people wait. Once you’re seated, the service is super efficient. We arrived just before they opened for lunch and scored seats with chef/owner @jihan.lee88 making our rolls. Turns out, he’s Korean and grew up in Portland too!! What are the chances? I told him his parents must be so proud because the restaurant is just killing it. Heck, I’m proud of him! Swipe to see the beautiful, light-filled room which filled up immediately after I took my photos. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Temaki lunch at @naminori.nyc with @ristretto88 and @feastmeatswest

Now that I’m living in NYC, there are so many vegan options for me now. Just like @urbanvegankitchen. I introduced my non vegan brother to this joint my friends took me to when I was visiting last year. Now he’s hooked too. It’s so good. If you’re in NYC, please stop by, you won’t regret it. Also, now that I live here, I’ll be sharing my favorite vegan spots throughout the city. Gahhh everything is so good. 🤤😍 🌱 #vegan#teamnomeat#foodporn#nyceats#nycfood#nycfoodie#nycrestaurants
Surprise your better half tonight with a date night! Our Ossobuco is perfect for cold winter nights and is sure to impress. Call us and make your reservation!
Featured Dish: Ossobuco made with braised veal shank, creamy mascarpone polenta, au jus, and a zesty gremolata.
Carrots, cabbage and taro folded in vermicelli. Served with set pomegranate and plum vinaigrette dipping sauce... This was really yum and we were literally hogging on these coz we were starving and these tasted splendid.
One of the most amazing restaurants we have been to NYC. Will post more of their amazing dishes in my upcoming posts.😋😍
Had a fantastic lunch last week in a restaurant we discovered that same day! Sakagura can be found in the basement of an office building in Midtown East and had a very strong speakeasy vibe. Shoutouts to whoever decorated the place because this is the most beautiful basement I ever dined in (lol). Great service and decor aside, let's talk about the food. ⠀
The lunch special consisted of a hot or cold plain soba and a rice dish. I got mine with the salmon sashimi and salmon roe. Everything tasted very fresh and it was very good for sure but a tad on the expensive side. Since the food adventures in January are a tad on the slow side, we ended up getting desserts and I'm glad we did since they were the true star of the show. The matcha tiramasu with mascarpone cream, red beans paste and cake was the best use of matcha I ever had. Not seen here because it's not super photogenic was the coffee anmitsu. Made me an instant fan of the Japanese dessert and will definitely look out for more in the future! Go to Sakagura if you're in Midtown and want a fancy Japanese lunch with an amazing dessert selection while not mind spending a little bit more for the experience.⠀
A new favorite —> this Georgian treat called Adjaruly which is a fresh baked buttered loaf of bread with melted cheese and a raw egg. Once you mix the egg in with the hot cheese, it cooks!
At 27 1/2 Morton St, on an obtuse corner of 7th Avenue down in Greenwich Village, @27_morton serves an eclectic mix of dishes from across Central and Eastern Europe.
When the current owner took over this location in 2019, he asked the neighborhood regulars about their preferences and kept the favorites and expanded the dishes. Everyone who appreciates food from this region will enjoy whatever they order. Give it a try! Full experience in stories :) _______________

My first scotch egg experience, it was eggs-cellent. But seriously, @joneswoodfoundry has some delish English style food! It took some sweet talking to get me to try a scotch egg, but I’m glad it happened!
