This is a #horsecarriage driver who left his horse on Tenth Ave with the carriage jutting into the traffic lane while he went into Dunkin Donuts for a coffee and snack (no, it wasn't the @beyondmeat sandwich). The bus in the third photo had to swerve into the next lane to avoid the carriage. I didn't say anything to him, I was photographing the carriage and license plate. This is the face of someone CAUGHT doing something very wrong. He was instantly so angry and loud about me taking a picture of the violation that my neighbors stopped to make sure I was safe. I left it with, "take your anger out on your boyfriend if you have to, but don't you dare punish that horse because you had to stuff your face." (Most of the drivers are bigots and I knew the suggestion that he might be in a same-sex relationship would make him uncomfortable enough to leave. You see his reaction in the second photo)
One passerby walking by said, "I thought the same thing! If you're that mad at her for taking a picture, what must you do to that horse all day?" These drivers are accustomed to breaking laws and regulations EVERY DAY without consequence. NO ONE FROM ANY AGENCY IS WATCHING THEM.
Don't kid yourself. Most of these drivers are monsters who see the horses as a means to put untaxed cash in their pockets and make them feel "dominant," they do not see them as individuals with sensitivity and emotional needs. Tell everyone you know to never take a horse carriage ride in NYC or anywhere else. #animalabuse in plain sight!
There’s nothing that you can’t do,now you’re in New York.

Who’d have thought that eight years on, these four girls would be back from different corners of the world to relive their favourite things in their favourite city. .
Girls, we’ll always have New York. What’s next?

My Brooklyn. .
Of course it’s where the tourists are 🤷🏻♀️❤️😍
Part 1 of New York trip 🌃 Hadestown was an outstanding show and was definitely the most intimate show I’ve ever seen. The cast was so sweet and I got to talk to Eva Noblezada. She is such a amazing and wise individual and I’m so grateful that I got to meet her! #hadestown#nyctrip
Hi, I’m Shiloh and I’m a self-conscious cheapskate. ⠀
I know what my bank account looks like and I know that there wouldn’t be much left to account for if I paid the full admission price of every NYC museum I stepped foot into, but yet I have to mentally force myself to take advantage of many museums’ pay-what-you-wish policies. Heck, I even wrote a blog post on how I talk myself into paying just a dollar. #linkinthebio ⠀
LET ME KNOW: Can you relate? Do you pay-what-you-wish? How little do you think is too little to pay?⠀
*Note: This isn’t one of the museums where I paid what I wished, but I did make use of their student discount. 😁⠀
A year and a half ago I was in a head space that manifested into a reality of lack in so many aspects of my life. I believed I was invisible and my self-worth/love didn’t exist. I thought I loved myself but I truly didn’t. (Just cause you may think you’re cute, that’s not the same as love.)
Fast forward to 2018/2019 I started my journey on self-love/worth and was feeling incredible until losing Sport Illustrated destroyed me to my core. I look back and ask myself if my self-love was even real if I allowed something to strip me of my joy and power. I felt like a fraud preaching about self-love and acceptance for ones self afterwards too! I also ask myself if I was even going after the win for the wrong reasons! I had a hard time seeing the bigger picture of things and I think I’m finally starting to get it, now months later. I look at this picture and I see an incredible woman that wants to love the heck out of the world. I think I’ve been so caught up in trying to control the details of how it’s going to happen that I’m not giving myself the opportunity of living my truth and shining. My self-made bulletin board of details has been hiding my light. Time to throw this ish out. 💥

Hudson Yards, New York City's newest neighborhood, offers attractions like the beehive-like Vessel from British designer Thomas Heatherwick. It also holds more than 100 shops, 14 acres of public gardens, restaurants from the likes of José Andrés and Thomas Keller and the world’s first @equinoxhotels. #Regram : @filippo_cesarini
