"What is the normal process at SGA?"
As one of our clients you will be provided with a needs based sales approach and a full written report will be provided. Where Steven Green and Associates Limited is not qualified to give specific advice you will be referred to either your existing advisor or one the company feels will provide you with a quality service.
As our client you will be provided with newsletters, the opportunity for an annual review of your portfolio and we also operate an open door policy. You are encouraged to contact us if and when any changes occur in your life between the review periods. We at SGA will also assist clients in any way to expedite claims.
Our goal is to ensure you have the right insurance in place to meet your needs. Our preference is to provide advice on all the insurable risks you could face using our Personal Insurance Planning Process, but we can provide transactional services to implement life insurance products at your request.
Insurance is not a one size fits all product. Your insurance needs to change as you go through the different stages in life and business. As an SGA client we will help you through these stages and you will get service that is geared to you and your needs. We want to work with you to ensure the insurance you have in place covers your personal and business needs and is within your budget.
Do you trust us …..we hope not. Your trust is not something you give us but something we have to earn. By the time we have finished working through our process with you we hope we have earned your trust.

One of the key factors to be aware of when taking out health insurance is to be careful about what you are specifically covered for, what is ‘not’ included, and for any exclusions in the fine print.
This is critical to have a clear understanding of this at the beginning, and to avoid major issues at claim time. We have heard of too many examples when people have been diagnosed with a serious condition, or needed surgery, suffered a major heart attack etc and have been denied at claim time when they had expected to be covered. This causes huge stress, anxiety, and significant financial pressure at a time when you need to recover and focus on getting well.

It’s been a while since I have posted anything, however for good reason....It’s been a very busy time for me & a time that has opened up my eyes the real importance of what I do & having the right insurance in place when you need it. Amongst managing a number of income protection & health insurance claims, I didn’t think at the age of 31 I would have to arrange a life insurance claim for someone the same age as me, especially someone who I had known for a long time...It may seem like a tough or unwanted purchase at the time but unfortunately, things we don’t anticipate happening, can happen. Insurance is all about protecting the “what if” & if you haven’t used your insurance cover then that’s a good thing, you haven’t needed to & you are enjoying your life but just know It will be there to help financially for if you ever need it! If you or anyone you know needs any advice or wants to sit down to discuss insurance options over a coffee, let me know. I’m happy to help & assist in any way I can, my contact link is in my bio #makeinsure#advice#claims#claim#lifeinsurance#healthinsurance#nzinsurance#business#nzbusiness#auckland#northshore#takapuna#milford#passion#moments#life #

NZ is one of the most under insured nations in the World. Don't be complacent, the state won't care for you like insurance will.
Its a NZ tradition for parents to wave good bye to their children as they head off on their OE but have you considered the cost if the worst case scenario happened? This is exactly why we advise parents to put a small amount of Life Insurance on their children before they leave the country. It is not to replace Travel Insurance but it gives you a cash back up to cover additional costs.
Life Insurance premiums rise with age and we are currently finding for many of our clients, the cost outweighs the budget.
One option is to look at putting a portion of your Life Cover on a Level Premium which ensures the cost of the Life Cover does not increase with age. If this is something which interests you give us a call 0800 747 336

Don’t be discouraged by the application process.
As a part of the underwriting process you will be asked to disclose some personal information such as your lifestyle, salary, and medical history. While you may not feel comfortable telling a stranger your personal business, it is necessary for them to know this information in order to create an accurate picture of the risk you pose. This risk will determine your premiums. And don't try to sneak anything by the insurer, if it comes out that you failed to disclose any pertinent details you run the risk of your policy being voided. #spinsurance#insuranceagent#healthinsurance#premium#insurancebroker#nzinsurance#cover#structure#insurancebroker#insuranceagents#insurance#nzbroker

#insurancetips Having income protection can provide you with up to 75% of your monthly gross income if you are unable to work because of an illness or injury. The monthly stream of income you will receive will help ease your burden financially by providing for the daily needs of your family.
#insurancetips Go for level premiums if you're thinking about long term.
Choosing a premium structure, stepped or level, will depend on your financial situation. Stepped premiums are premiums that increase as you grow older. The advantage for this type of premium structure is that the initial premiums are much lower than level premiums. However, the premiums continue to increase each year until the end of the term.
Level premium remain the same until you reach the end of your term. This means that while your premiums start higher, by the end of the term, you're paying less than if you'd chosen stepped premiums.
Tip 2: You might have life insurance - but do you have good cover? A lot of Banks and online companies sell “Non-Underwritten” life insurance. That type of insurance is very easy to get - all arranged in a few minutes, no medicals or blood tests, and very few questions. But at claim time, that is when they ask all the questions and then possibly ask for your medical records - and your claim might then be turned down, after many years of paying premiums! With a “Non-Underwritten” life policy you are not 100% sure of exactly what you are covered for “until” claim time. The best life insurance policies, which generally cost no more, are “Underwritten” policies, which means you are asked more questions and you may have to have a medical or blood test, and they may ask for your medical records - but you will then know exactly from the start what you are covered for and not covered for, and then you can decide to proceed or not. No surprises at claim time! If you took out a policy and it was all very simple without loads of questions, and no medicals or blood test, you may very well have a “non-underwritten” life policy. At no charge to you we can easily check that out for you and confirm what type of policy you have.

If you have been following along with us for a while you’ll know we absolutely love to travel and pretty much where we go the kiddies come too. Travel insurance is so important and without a second thought it just gets added to the list for any of our international travel. When a homegrown Kiwi company Holiday Rescue asked me if I’d like to try their newly launched insurance online, I jumped on board as it’s something I hadn't done yet but was on the Bali Holiday to do list. They offer FREE insurance for children and respond to claims in 48 hours which is a yes from me. I’m happy to share it with you guys as it was super easy to understand and you can see exactly what you are covered for, also the price was really reasonable too. So definitely check out this small business that care about people to keep your family’s mind at peace while exploring the world. #nzinsurance#holidayinsurance#holidayrescue#ad
