#isolationfashion day 68: "Go to sleep, brain", I said, "for tomorrow at the crack of dawn, next-door's scaffolders will be creating unholy metal grinding noises directly outside your bedroom window, and you will sorely wish you had dropped off sooner". "That's one option" said my brain, "But I would prefer to catalogue 35 years of regrets and missed opportunities until the small hours. Shall we begin?" In other words, if you need me today, you'll find me here. Wearing these excellent paisley trousers.
In this project we tore down walls and put up a screen to create a slight separation from the living and dining area. The oak screen shelving hides an HVAC return and displays art. Photo by @gina.rogers.art
A Sunday spent lounging and sipping tea...well, we did actually make it out of the house for a run earlier, but I can’t deny, I was excited to get back home and back on the sofa as soon as possible so I could resume my Snoozy Sunday. Hope you’re having a lovely Sunday whatever you’re up to! ☺️☕️
Showcasing these mod orange sofas in the space where I should be doing a Pop-Up right now., were it not for Covid-19. @themainevanston is where I did my very first Pop-Up shop. I loved the unfinished loft-style space, the great location at Main & Chicago in Evanston, and all the fun people who came to visit and shop. I’m sad to not be there now. BUT, you can still shop, and How about this fabulous pair of sofas? 7 feet long, popping with citrusy color, and in great condition. These are newer, not vintage. Available as a pair or individually. $750 each. DM for details. We now offer contactless curbside pickup or delivery. DM for details.
**SNUG REVEAL KAXON🙌**
Ahhhh, it’s only taken 9812367 gaZILLION years to revamp this room, and guess what? It’s still not finished!😂
I decided earlier on in the year in keeping in my departure from lè dark side, to lighten it up. I knew I wanted an velvet orange sofa, and a whole lot more colour, so decided to mix it up a bit and use a wallpaper to let my colourful accessories sing in a harmonious way. .
(AD/ GIFT) I feel superdooper lucky to have been gifted this define Raphaël wallpaper from the awesometastical @sandbergwallpaper in the grey. I can contest, It is bloody DIVINE. Adds so much interest but without overpowering everything else, plus, It ticks my eclectic mosh-mashed style and best of all, it’s LIGHTER! And it’s meeee! It’s beautiful quality, and looks dreamy on. Hubby over putting it up to (ok, I might have made that bit up)
I’ve kept the ceiling and window frame black (for now, might paint the ceiling white🙄) and used stuff we already had where poss; moved some rugs about and used my thrifty thrifterson prowess to furnish it. My husband did an AMAZEBALLS ON ON TOAST with a side of “you’re a fucking legend” of removing the inbuilt cabinet and plastering the space, and retailing the hearth. What a guy🥰
Finally, this little room fills me with joy, rather than loathing. I actually want to sit in it; handy really🤔
Swipe to see other angles (angles are important right) how it looked when we moved in, and the in between phase👌
