Our mountain oasis @kasbahbabourika . This gorgeous little Kasbah provides stunning views over the Ourika Valley and the snow capped Atlas Mountains. While we loved being here in January as the crowds are minimal and the prices are great, the outdoor spaces on this property are so lovely and we didn’t get much use out of them. But all that means is, we’ll have to come back! I think my next trip to Morocco will have to be in April for some pool time. ☀️ #heretmrw#ourikavalley#rockthekasbah#oasis
What better place than a garden to do so?🌺 Two Nectarome associates thus create the first organic aromatic garden in Morocco 35km away from Marrakesh, in the Ourika valley.
This garden, open to the public all year long for open or guided visitation, showcases around fifty aromatic plants, medicinal and ornamental, predominantly originating from the region. It allows Nectarome to carry out their R&D missions on the plants, to test the pruning periods, to analyze the chemical reaction of acclimated plants, to study and isolate the specific molecules necessary to elaborating high quality and efficient products.
Nectarome, with its products, proves the usefulness of plants in the field of beauty and health, uncovers and raises awareness about their virtues, and creates the want to discover and learn more about them 🤲

The safran garden is such a nice place to visit ! Unfortunately we missed the safran season wich was just a month before, around October November. But the place is a beautiful garden ! With lots of olives trees and lemons trees 🥰 We where completely alone and a very kind guide gave us a little tour with the whole story of the place and how they produce safran. It was very instructif and beautiful ! You can buy safran and other essentiel oils straight produce from there + the money goes too the workers of the farm. We could see in the little expo that this place has been visited by the famous french travel tv show échapper belles 🥰👌🏽 After we enjoyed a little tea offered by the house in the garden (wich was the best tea I ever tasted) with our new friend the cat. A must visit 👌🏽 #safranier#safrangarden#ourikavalley#gardens#greenlover#naturelovers#safranieredelourika#marroco#traveldiary
#ourika#ourikavalley#morocco

Day 2 Morroco // So many stunning sights and experiences crammed in one day. The day began with a visit to a traditional Berber family’s home in Ourika Valley for homemade Moroccan mint tea, Berber bread, honey, and butter. Then a short camel ride and a visit to the casbah to peruse handmade Berber jewelry and rugs and handmade argan oil. Followed by a 2.5 hour hike in Setti Fadma up the mountain to see two waterfalls. After a short break back at the riad we walked to a bustling square where we tasted endless local delicacies. After 1.5 days I can easily say this has been one of the most stunning and unique experiences of my life. 🇲🇦 #remoteyear#ryikemba
We walked down the mountain to find the road towards the city down the valley. To get there, we hitch hiked. It was quiet easy cuz there is only one road that goes up and down towards the villages. A man near the road helped us find a car. We give the driver each 10dh, it is like 1 euro each. The cars are from an other time, so it’s a very local experience I would say. As we where driving down the mountain, I was amazed by the landscape. The red colours of the grounds, the green of the valleys, the houses and stores that are melting in to the nature with there bright colours. Beautiful! We saw camels along the road where tourist came for taking a picture or make a tour with them. They arrived with big cars out of Marrakech and stopped in groups to do those camel tours. Really I don’t get this behaviour, just look at the physical state of those animals hanging by there feet at chains all day next too a big road with 100 of people’s coming on their back ... how sad and how cruel. Please folks, be aware when you travel. Don’t hurt other human beings or animals for you’re own pleasure. Don’t be a part of this, change start by you’re behaviours. #ecoresponsable#ecotourism#traveldiaries#ourikavalley#camels#noanimalcruelty#responsabletourism#backpackerlife#backpacksoul#adventuretime
Wow wow wow. Our love & wonder wedding weekend left us speechless. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Enveloped by the Atlas Mountains and Ourika Valley, and surrounded by 70 of our nearest and dearest, we sanctified our union in a circle of love to signify the boundless commitment we were making to each other. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Belly dancers, snake charmers, camel rides and delicious tagine kicked off the Moroccan Soirée on Friday, with several dear friends sharing their gift of music, poetry and comedy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We moved into the ceremony on Saturday, where we exchanged personal vows, declared our commitment to our soul fam, and witnessed each guest bless our rings with a one-word wish. We danced under the stars late into the night with vibes courtesy of DJ @victorien.fdvm, and completed the weekend with a Milky Way flute meditation—kissed by two shooting stars. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Designing this love & wonder extravaganza alongside our amazing team was, without question, one of the highlights of my life. May 9-12, 2019 will forever be etched into our hearts as one of the most magical and memorable weekends of our lives. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Thank you to our beautiful community for helping to make our union so special. #MrAndMrsWonder
