TEAMWORK - Building Tribe
The pictures below are from our Woodland Warrior Programme. 💪🌳⚔️🇬🇧 This sees a team of #armedforces#veterans and #emergencyservice personal spending 2 days with me in the #ChewValley , Somerset.
Relaxing around the campfire 🔥 learning new skills based on Bushcraft and the natural world, it also sees them taking on #conservation based taskings often requiring them to work as one cohesive team.
Despite arriving as individuals and complete strangers to one another, we quickly worked out the means to shift this huge section of felled willow into its new position as flood defence on the edge of the river Chew. 🤔
This done by using a combination of an initial open group forum to best access the situation harnessing the power of many brains. Once a plan formed and agreed the group then quickly set about making it happen with a single voice used to lead the countdown between physical exertions.
Dynamically problem solving in the moment.
As a group of people akin to operating in high performance groups often under duress, it served to show many in this group that despite injury’s/illness they are still highly effective and are an absolute credit to any employer.
Lea Anne’s new PB Shoal Bass 💪😊! These fish are native to Georgia and some of Florida. This is considered a tank for the species and was certified for an Adult Angler Award by the Georgia DNR!

The Pallet Wood Cabin was another one of my favourite projects with @tafishingofficial I put together a highlights video of my overnight stays in the cabin. Head to the link in my bio to watch it 🏕 For those who are new, we built this tiny off grid cabin using recycled pallet wood that we collected for free. We even re-used the old nails in the pallets to save money.
