Wie bewusst wählst du deine Umgebung? ⠀
Die Menschen und Situationen, mit denen du dich umgibst, haben einen großen Einfluss auf deine Entwicklung als Mensch. ⠀
Frag dich mal:⠀
✨ Gibt dir dein Umfeld Kraft und Inspiration? ⠀
✨ Kannst du dich so zeigen, wie du bist? ⠀
✨ Hast du Raum für Weiterentwicklung? ⠀
Mittlerweile bricht schon Tag 5 im wunderschönen Kleinwalsertal an. ⠀

Forgot to smile that early in the morning (I was also freezing after stopping to put those crampons on) but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t happy inside because... I mean... would y’all just look at this? (📷 @damianwarnke - thanks for taking so many photos while I have basically none of you, whoops)

I’ve talked to multiple people (all white) who say racism doesn’t exist, they are usually people who watch the news constantly, live comfortably, and live a pretty privileged life. I know lots of helpful messages are going around Instagram on how to be anti racist but the older population may not see these things. We need to have conversations with our family members and friends explaining the statistical data that shows how racism is rapid in this country when they say they don’t believe it. I admit I get angry when they deny it, it hurts my heart, but from having more conversations I’m having learning to calm down a bit, no one listens to you when you attack them. Actively acknowledging our thoughts and actions as privileged white people instead of “not seeing color” is imperative right now. Smile bigger, be aware of your actions, have conversations even when they feel awkward or hard. I am also working on finding books for my son (he’s almost three) if you have any recommendations please let me know. I saw a list before and now I can’t find it.
There's a lot of really big changes lately and I'm now caught up planning for a move to go back to school after spending many years exploring different paths. Confession; I picked a school that was closest to a climbing area, because, well... Priorities. ⛰ 😁
Don't. Look. Down.
We crossed paths with a bunch of fellow hikers who were absolutely, under no circumstances, willing to hike and scramble closer to the peak due to a fear of heights. Thankfully ALMOST everyone in our group was game to summit, and so we snacked out and rested at the peak before the long journey back down to pavement!
