I know I have been blessed with good genes. But those genes will only take me so far. Maybe you’ve heard the saying “age is only a number”. Do you believe that? I do!
I recently turned 67! Crazy to think about. Looking back at my grandmother, who at the age of 54, I thought she looked ‘old’! I loved her dearly, admired her and respected her. Those were different times though. People didn’t have nearly the options that we do now to know how to live a healthier lifestyle!
I have learned:
*It’s mindset – true – I am convinced every day to live healthier, happier and push myself. I tell myself that!
*Small, smart choices + time + consistency = radical results
*To become the very best version of myself
*Take risks both physically and mentally (healthy risks!!)
*Celebrate my successes and be proud of every step I take
*And never, ever give up!
So look out 67, here I am! I’m an armed and dangerous Nana!

So one of the things yoga teacher training and yoga practice have taught me, is to embrace a beginner´s attitude.
This makes it SO much easier to accept that two weeks traveling, dealing with jetlag and exhaustion, have "set me back," as far as physical strength and endurance go. I´d even say it also affected my mental and emotional stamina. It´s taken me a full week to get over the latest bout of jetlag.
BUT whereas in my past life as a type-A compulsive sports fanatic (as in practicing sports, not watching), I´d have beaten myself up over this, or found a way to run myself ragged, maybe not sleeping enough so I could do body work during travel ... -
Now I am able to almost enjoy the humility of realizing, whoa, my body (or my mind) isn´t ready for that arm balance just now ... and accept it. It´s interesting to breathe into the feeling, and show up on my mat anyway and be ok with the outcome.
It also helps me have more compassion in general. I´m not super woman nor do I need to be.
I am so much more in tune with my body and my spirit. I am also practically symptom-free from any gut issues I was having and that lasted almost 2 years. In Spain I completely forgot I ever had symptoms.
I credit daily self-reiki for a lot of this too.
Isn´t that something.
Progress in yoga and life are definitely not linear.

I have accessorized this look with a tan belt, a matching tan necklace and earring set and pulled the outfit together with one of my favourite @pringlescotland bags.

First time doing a little gentle strength session and loading my wrists and shoulders since my little “medical mishap” 12 days ago... even though I felt really really good today energy-wise after my Adrenals’ stimulation by PEMF two days ago, I can definitely tell that my strength is not where it is supposed to be. I had to do shorter sets and longer breaks, but I was oh-so-happy to be able to do it. 🙏 Plus the reflections on the floor are very cool. 👏
My obligatory swimsuit post when I’m at the beach! This suit is under $20 but it’s the hat that makes the look. There are so many great hats other than a baseball cap that provide great sun protection and are super chic. Check out my favorites. Today was week 5-powerful. This program is definitely taking it up a notch! But the trainer said something “powerful” today. “Success can’t happen without commitment. “
Wow! That really convicted me! Think about that for a minute.
I’m on vacation (as you all already know 😜). So I’ve been eating lots of carbs and having lots of treats and some wine. Ok, maybe a lot of wine 🍷! I have been getting some vegetables in and definitely drinking lots of water. But even before vacation, I was not disciplined with my nutrition. I eyeball everything and “wing it”. I have been successful and have lost 16.5 lbs. But imagine how much better I could be doing if I stayed on plan better. 🤔
So when I get back from vacation I will be taking steps to much better, on track, using a very simple portion controlled nutrition system. I’m putting it there to be transparent and have accountability. After all, that’s how we learn and grow!

You have become addicted to pain & suffering, it literally becomes your normal way of living & you do not feel comfortable unless there is drama around you & when there isn’t any you will create some because you have become addicted to feeling that rush of chemicals that your body feels from living in that emotional state
It doesn’t matter what your saying with your words, you are not owning how you feel.
You may be saying positive things like, it will be ok, or everything’s fine, but your not owning your truth & what your really feeling inside is anger or feeling disrespected or feeling unworthy 🌟
Everything starts with a thought & then a feeling. Once you learn how to switch of certain areas of your brain, you will regain complete control over your life & free yourself from the chains of your past
