What’s next on the house updates:
1. DIY these bedside tables. Been meaning to do that since I decorated this room. Today is the day! I’m adding some gold details and black handles!
2. Paint the internal doors grey. I’m stuck between F&B Plummet and Down Pipe - anyone have these colours on their doors?
3. Replace shelf in the living room with a chunkier, reclaimed wood shelf. I might do this in the kitchen too!
4. The whole front garden project 🤯
It’s a never ending list but I just love working on it and changing things up all the time. My absolute dream would be to buy and renovate properties. I spend half my spare time on right move virtually making over other people’s houses 🤣
What makes #Lübeck so enchanting is the high level of detail that can be found throughout the city.
Artists, chocolatiers, designers, and laid-back cafes fill every side street.
Villas are decorated in every possible color of roses, and the sweet salty smell of the coast floats in the air.
Like most cities decorated with artisans, people watching does not disappoint. Women wearing small label fashion (some beautiful some questionable), and men in either well fitted suits or casual linen pants fill the streets. #lubeck#schönstestadtderwelt#painteddoors#beautifulbuildings#architecture
I only intended on painting one but then I figured, ‘well there’s these two other ones and they’re right here so close ‘ 🙂. I’m a fan of painting doors and have painted now all my interior doors except for one (my master bath) but this is the first time I painted three doors at a time, each a different color, using the same few brushes. 😳
Sure, I could have colored them all the same color but then I’d miss out on the fun of declaring a favorite. I have mine. Which one is yours? #colorgirl#anniesloanchalkpaint#painteddoors
1 coat just on one side, already looking so much better. Although I gotta admit, it's a bittersweet feeling to put paint on the doors after all the work to take paint off #upgrade#whitepaint#painteddoors
I was happy to be able to take these beaten up old doors and transform them by painting a barn quilt onto them. It wasn’t the simplest pattern I could’ve done, but it felt good to look back after remounting them onto the second floor. I feel it definitely makes for a better impression as you drive up the driveway and see this colorful piece. I think I could get into painting this type of thing in the future! #barnquilt#painteddoors#barnquilts#mainebarnquilttrail#mainepainting#painting#mural
I hope everyone is keeping safe and well ❤️ during this incredible time of uncertainty ❤️ I wanted to share with you this set of small 6x6 paintings I managed to finish just recently although it’s taken me weeks and weeks to actually complete 😔 that’s in part due the immense feeling of worry and anxiety over the Covid-19 pandemic and also the terrible tragedy here in NS a weeks ago 😢💔😢 I haven’t had the energy or desire to paint, something which I love to do but couldn’t 😢
As many of you know Dean and I normally spend our weekends throughout the summer at the Grain in Tatamagouche or craft shows and fairs but so far this year is looking very different for us and so many of our fellow artisans 😐 we miss you all 🤗
These little paintings just came about when I discovered the jellybean houses! 🙂 I’d never heard of such a thing! Anyway these are by no means like the houses themselves but I thought since houses can be personalized so are our front doors! The front door is where we welcome our friends and family, meet new people, and where we come home to! It symbolizes a feeling of belonging (to me at least)! Anyway, I hope you like them 😊
I’m going to call them ‘Shut the Front Door’ series lol 🤣
Thanks to everyone for following the public health guidelines 🙏 please stay safe 💕💕💕. #staysafe#staytheblazeshome#shutthefrontdoor#painteddoors#acrylicart#novascotiaartist#artistininstagram#novascotia#acrylicpainting#thegrain

More from #Malta These fabulous #doors !! This little republic off the west coast of Sicily and Libya to the south sits in the middle of the Mediterranean. It isn’t overrun by tourists as many places in Europe are during the summer months. Beautiful beaches, incredible food, architecture, culture, and art. My kind of place. Would go there again in a heartbeat!!

Hoping to replace this front door someday but for now a fresh coat of paint to brighten it up will do! Swipe left to see before. .
Good morning! Starting the day right with a nice cooked breakfast! Plans for today.. paint our new mini shed that arrived yesterday (it is to store the garden furniture cushions so we don’t have to keep going up and down the garden with them), plant our new David Austin Climbing Roses, do some light gardening and then sit back and watch Ian try and build the shed. 😄 What about you?
All of the pretty original art pieces from my latest “Windows & Doors Of Hope” fine art series have been wizzed off to their new loving forever homes around the world 💖
They should be arriving around Oz in the next week and overseas in two, possibly three weeks, the postal system is a bit slower at the moment due to the corona virus.
I have a lovely collection of these coming as a print release in June, so if you would like to nab a favourite then, you totally can 😘🚪🖼
I highly recommend painting your interior doors for a more custom look. Big shout out to Margaret @mcafeehomeliving for sharing the formula for the paint color.
I am a huge fan of @amberinteriors and fell in love with this color at first sight. ~Cher
Find a few easy project ideas for the long weekend in my recent @gastonalive article on how our family has made our own home prettier and more functional for work/school/play with this extra time at home. https://gastonalive.com/2020/05/make-your-home-your-happy-space-during-quarantine/ You can carve out space for an office anywhere (a door helps!) and even just switching out a rug can change the whole feel of a space, as seen here! Cheers to the long weekend!

Current state of the dining room (no table, chairs have arrived). Planning on making a table at some point.
