I so wish I could sleep in this now 😴
What a busy weekend! .
We’ve spent the weekend cleaning the house ready for the big move next week (we’ve even made our bed, as it got delivered Friday), attended a 50th birthday party, attended a landlord and landlady retirement party at our local pub and finished the barge board on the clearstory roof!
I know the bed not Insta perfect yet but soft furnishings will come along as and when we live here and decide what we really want.
For the keen eye you may noticed we’ve created a bed eextension as Richie is 6ft 6 and I really wanted a bed with a foot board we bought a normal bed and then created a wooden box extension and have a foam piece at the feet hopefully it will work perfectly I just really need to find sheets big enough as the bed is also a super king! If we’d bought a bed made to measure it would’ve cost us over £3000 just for the frame and then the mattress was at a minimum of another £1000, that whole bed as cost us less than half of that and we have a really good mattress!
I’m off to France with work today until Friday I can’t believe that when I get back will be preparing to move in and hopefully by Sunday evening I’ll be able to post some pictures of our furniture actually in the house 😍
Have a great week everyone 😃

Texture this is a bit of a tricky one for me 🤔 I thought about posting a picture of our views but as I used it for greenery I didn’t really want to repeat myself 😛
So I thought I’d show you our sandstone cladding, this is our local sandstone that comes in big blocks/chunks. Richie and I then convert it into cladding 💪🏻⚒ (see photo 2 for a before and after). All the walls that surround the driveway will be cladded in this and any exposed part of the house on the lake side.
Blue sky thinking today for a gorgeous site in Wiltshire. One of our core values as a studio is respect for all living things, similar to the Buddhist or yogic term Ahimsa or ‘Do no harm’. ⠀
Ahimsa is a multidimensional concept, inspired by the premise that all living beings have the spark of the divine spiritual energy; therefore, to hurt another being is to hurt oneself.⠀
It is always in the background of our thoughts and plans but never more so than on a virgin field near ancient woodland, with beautiful land as far as the horizon. ⠀
