First of all! Happy independence day Finland!🇫🇮 🎵Sound on!🎵 So the main question is: are you ready for an adventure?
I have been incredibly lucky for all the chances I have had seeing the world. But on all of my trips there has been this constant thought of being able to ditch the popular tourist spots and roam free. Find new unique locations, see things away from the beaten tracks, making new connections with people and innovating new ways of telling stories. I'm also not the biggest fan of airplanes and sustainability is really important for me, so I have been dreaming of a chance to take time on my trips and go exploring with a van. This is why the open job position @bestcaravan has got me so excited and my mind filled immediately with all the new type of content I could produce!🚐 So to answer the question: I am always ready to go on an adventure!👊 #tourdevan2020#tourdevan#alwaysonanadventure#offthebeatentrack#sustainabletravel#explorebyvan#makenewcontent

To those devoid of imagination, a blank spot on the map is a useless waste; to others, the most valuable part. -Aldo Leopold
Afternoon walks in Canada.
We left when the sun was out but the weather can change quickly... Too bad we didn't pack for rainy weather! The moody weather did make it all the more beautiful though.
Do you go out when it's cold & wet?

No pude elegir mejor lugar!
After this section hike on the Appalachian Trail, I would say my body was broken in a bit 🥾
If you really want to test your limits and challenge your mind, I’d say this is the place to do it!
For me, not only was my body tested physically but so was my mind and it’s what kept me pushing through.

The best bit of road in Uganda was this 50 kilometres long stretch between Moroto and Mbale. No cars and no motorcycles and very little Mzungu hysteria = great cycling!
I am now in Kitale and my plan is to continue north for about 130 kilometres before turning east. Then I will be back on the same road I cycled three weeks ago. My main concern is the rain. The dirt roads I want to do turns into deep mud. So I guess that I have to stay on paved roads a few days... I might try to cross over to the area near Maralal (the capital of Samburu county) if the weather gets better.
“Now is the time to hold ourselves accountable for the things we say we care about.” - @richiekul, vegan model, actor and animal activist #mazucrew .
Though Richie is now extremely thorough and selective in the initiatives he chooses to represent and associate with, his transition from being a vegetarian to a vegan was a humbling one
“I still recall the time I was asked to endorse global initiatives like Veganuary and Veg Week where I encouraged friends, fans and supporters to try out a vegan diet for a week/month. There I quickly learnt that people are really savvy when someone is being inconsistent or inauthentic. Soon afterwards, I received messages asking me how great veganism could be if I hadn't fully adopted it myself. As much as it stung to be called out on my hypocrisy, it was a fair and valid point they raised, so I proceeded to educate myself on the cruelties inherent in the dairy, egg, wool and leather industries and quickly determined that this was something I wanted absolutely no part of.” .
Given his adamant stance on the brands he chooses to work with, we were curious as to why he chose to represent Mazu Resortwear, to which he responded, “I love helping to champion a quality, homegrown brand that acknowledges Asia’s rich culture and traditions while remaining at the forefront of living in harmony with our planet and the animals we share her with. While the brand isn’t explicitly vegan, I respect that the products are cruelty-free, eco-friendly and thoughtfully designed and produced.”
Too often, people get caught up in the commercial aspects of what a brand represents, therefore we sincerely thank Richie for representing us and holding us and other brands accountable for doing our part for the planet and the communities we affect and are a part of. 🙌🏻💪🏻⛵✨

Great Salt Lake - Большое Солёное Озеро: must see😍

POLLUTED LIFE OF TANNED PEOPLE
It is a profession filled with uncertainty, also uncertain is the future of this profession. Many fishermen send their children to school and want them to hold other jobs in fields like software and teaching. They say that they do not want their children to struggle as they do and want a better life for them, leaving the future of this sea-dependent occupation in question.
At the end of September I tore 3 ligaments in my ankle playing soccer, and for the past two months my mountain time has been limited to small walks and places you can drive to. With this being the longest recovery time of any injury I’ve had (other than my concussion) I’m getting rather restless. Although I’ve been doing lots of fun things it feels like I’ve been sitting still for two months, and it’s starting to drive me crazy. So here’s a little mountain summer throwback, and me crossing my fingers that I can ski in a few weeks.
What is wrong with this picture? 🤔
There's actually nothing wrong with this picture unless your brain prefers order over chaos. When one of my friends saw this photo recently, he asked: " Where are numbers 2, 7, 8 and 9?!". Since I like to tease him, I told him they fell of a mountain, and pictured here are only the survivors. He wasn't amused with my answer at all. Haha! ▫️
The truth behind the missing numbers is much less macabre. Our group of mountain climbing women began a few years ago. At the beginning it was just a handful and I wasn't yet part of the group. I am number 6 in this photo and I joined for either the second or third adventure. Since I've joined I've only missed one climb. So the simple answer behind the missing numbers is that not everyone can make it each year. ▫️
This is the last photo of my series about adventurous mountain hiking and climbing group of friends, all moms. Some of us have been friends since childhood. Others have become friends recently. We meet once a year (although there's been talk of doing something like this twice a year). We love challenging ourselves by climbing a different peak each time in the Tatra Mountains in southern Poland. Usually we trek for three days while sleeping in mountain refuges along the way. ▫️
Come back soon for a completely different travel series of photos. What about? You'll have to come back to @packyourbagsorg to find out. 🤔

I just came back from an awesome trip to the Eastern Sierra with some friends. We managed to do one of my favorite hikes in Big Pine. Check out my stories for some behind the scenes! If you're interested in coming next time, I have some open spots or if you're not able to make it, check out some of the other @exploreorigin adventures happening around the country.
