So some changes are occurring!
Because Lauren is awesome and her business is going from strength to strength, she no longer has the time to do the huge amount of work that goes into wedding photography. So she is passing the torch to me (Ryan, Hi 😊) . It's the same team, same. Amazing images, same dorky duo! I will be there on your wedding day, as will Lauren, but all the behind the scenes stuff you do not get to see is all done through me.
Really there is change but in name 🤷♂️ All weddings currently booked is still through @crooked_images, all future weddings will be through me 🥰
Hope every one enjoyed Christmas and New Years, all the best for 2020
Also can we request more dogs at weddings please!

Click the link in my bio to get in touch and book a call with me. It’s a great way to see if we’d be a great match for your special day and if I’m the right photographer for you
I honestly can’t get enough of the warm fuzzy feeling I get when I see this photo. I travelled south for a wedding for the first time when I photographed these two love birds and it was such perfect timing! We had found a place that was riddled with native Calla Lillies and it was just so magical! Where did you go for your wedding photos? Tag me in them so I can see 😍

Big Trees - little people⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Have you ever asked yourself what sort of feel you want for your portraits?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do you want more romantic or edgy?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do you love the idea of urban/cityscape or do you want to run through the grass and be surrounded by nature?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
All these factors effect the choice of your portrait location so this should be discussed quite ahead of time to take into account location scouting I would do as a photographer to determine the best spot for our session
Gorgeous Bridal Party @hayshedhill, Sherice and her Bridesmaids know how to work the camera!
Love when the smiles are so natural, helps when you've photographed everyone before, twins Ali & Jen are long time Smile! clients and I have been lucky enough to photograph bridesmaid Taryn's babies as well.
3 Tips for choosing your flowers ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Choose a bridal bouquet first⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Start off by choosing the flowers and colours you want for your bouquet - or better - trust your florist to choose the flowers and create the style for you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Be tasteful⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Remember - you want your flowers to compliment the entire look - not be centre stage and be totally distracting⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Remember - not to hide yourself behind a mass of colours and flowers - sometimes less is more.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. You don't have to be matchy matchy⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Complimentary and contrasting colours look great - so start off with the bouquet and then let your florist advice what to do for the bridal party/reception - taking into account your colour palette⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

You guys, I have loved SO much being as creepy as possible and inviting myself into your throuple relationship that you had no say in over the years. However this ultimate power throuple threesome is going to be changing as I step down from weddings slightly and hand them over to my sweet baby wedding child @ryan_mcaulay_photography 😆 Boudie shoots have been growing so wonderfully that my time is being stretched to take on more weddings 😭 However, I’m still here shooting them! They will just be powered and led and edited by my main man Ryan, who - let’s be honest and call it what it is - is stupidly talented anyway. We are still dream teaming weddings, I can still be there shooting your day alongside him, however in the near future all new bookings will be under Mr McAulay. He will probably be heaps mad at me for doing this because he hasn’t finished his website yet 🤣😏 Also, I know you’re all dying to know - yes he may have found himself a special little lady over the holidays! 😆 YOURE WELCOME RY! LOVE YOU MATE! Photo by that geeza.
1. Get to know your officiant ahead of time - you don't want them being a stranger on the day.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Don't pick a spot that's extremely far away from your reception - If it is - make sure to allocate a sufficient amount of time for driving between the two. Taking into account anytime you need for portraits.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Include additional time when you're getting ready - you don't want to run late/rush into the ceremony. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4. Don't go into your ceremony hungry. You want to be present and not distracted.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
5. Don't spend your entire décor budget on flowers for the entrance. Also ask your florist if they can repurpose the flowers from the ceremony for your reception.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
6. Offer comfortable seating.
April & Jason ✨ It’s a special thing to be asked to capture anyone’s wedding, and a very special thing to be asked by someone you spent your snotty-nosed, bike-riding, kisschasey-playing younger years with. And moreso, to find that they are even brighter and bubblier and more big-hearted than you remember them from when you were twelve. Thanks for having me at your beautiful love-fest at your beautiful home in the hills @aprilfrench, it was a goodie ❤️

I've spent today looking at this eye candy 😍
Soooo much prettiness from Anita & Shane's wedding last weekend!
And how sweet is Mum & Dad's wedding photo on the wall? I love that my Couples treasure their wedding photos so much, that a wedding album is non negotiable for them.
Can't wait to see what Anita & Shane will choose next week as we create their first family heirloom! ❤️
💛 Tegan & Jai - Redcliffe on the Murray 💛
I am not embarrassed to admit I cried my way through Tegan & Jai's Wedding - I wasn't the only one.
When a couple are so openly and unashamedly in love, so present in their joy and just so, so happy to have found each other - it's everything ❤️
Today I celebrate two years married to the man of my dreams.
I am so lucky to have a husband who is so supportive and so loving and I couldn’t imagine spending my life with anyone else.
Love is a beautiful, wonderful feeling and I’m so blessed to have it envelop me and fill my heart everyday.
