Mmmm, burgers 🍔🍔My second time at Papachos in Larcomar and my last meal in Peru 🇵🇪 (ironically where I ate my first meal in Peru on the day I landed too). We got two delicious burgers:
The 𝟰 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘀 Burger, like the name, there are four cheeses in this delicious concoction: blue cheese, Gouda cheese, mozzarella, and cheddar 🧀🥰. The cheeses were amazing (obviously, I'm a cheese addict) and the potato chips on top added a nice texture to the burger. It was juicy, saucy, cheesy, and crunchy - highly recommend.
And the 𝗠𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮 Burger, also a great choice: cheese, bacon, crispy onion, pickles, BBQ sauce, lettuce, & tomato. The ultimate "classic" burger. We had the patty supersized also, very delicious too.
For drinks, we got the 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗮 𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘂𝘆𝗮 𝗠𝗼𝗷𝗶𝘁𝗼 and the 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝗱𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗯𝗮 𝗹𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗮. The mojito was very good, strong, but tasty. It was made of White rum, strawberry, passion fruit, mint, lemon and sparkling water. The lemonade with lemon grass was very refreshing. A little on the sweet side, but still yummy. I'd recommend everything we had in this meal! Peru, I miss you so much!

Ohh man! We decided to hit up some ocean side restaurants in Barranco, Lima🇵🇪. The view was so beautiful and the weather was perfect. There were about six restaurants along the decoratedly lit boardwalk (see last photo) and we check the menu at each one until we decided on @LaPankaOficial! It turned out to be one of my favorite meals in Peru! Review of each dish in order:
First appetizer we got was the 𝘾𝙝𝙤𝙘𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙤 𝙘𝙤𝙣 𝙌𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙤 𝙖 𝙉𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙖 🌽🧀 (2nd photo) This appie was so good, I would eat it as a meal! Delicious corn with chunks of cheese, butter, and herbs topped with fried cheese. It was so addicting and I'm definitely going to make my own version this summer👌🏼 The other appetizer we got was 𝙏𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙣𝙤𝙨 𝙙𝙚𝙡 𝘼𝙗𝙪𝙚𝙡𝙤 (1st photo). These weren't bad, but tasted like the average beef and cheese taquitos. It was paired with a creamy avocado sauce. The corn was WAYYY better.
First main course is not on their current menu so I don't remember the actual name, but it was a delicious 𝙨𝙖𝙡𝙢𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙤𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙪𝙘𝙝𝙤 𝙨𝙖𝙪𝙘𝙚, veggies, and rice. The salmon with cooked perfectly: nice and juicy. The anticucho sauce was also well flavored.
The second main course was the 𝘾𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙨 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙨 (grilled ribs) accompanied by French fries. The ribs were delicious and finger lickin' good!
For a cocktail, I got a 𝙈𝙤𝙟𝙞𝙩𝙤 𝙋𝙖𝙣𝙠𝙖 (pisco, maracuya y hierba buena). Holy crap - this drink was amazing. Mojitos with Pisco were meant to be paired together. The maracuya mixed in the also complimented all the flavors amazingly!

Ausangate trek: 7 lakes!! Exlpore Mount Ausangate, one of the most regal and powerful mountains in the Andes. To many, this mountain is considered to be the chief of the Apus (mountain spirits), a powerful guide and guardian.
Standing at 6373m, Ausangate is Peru's fifth highest mountain and it boasts unmatched beauty. The snow-capped mountain feeds into colourful lagoons that treat the eye and soul.
Hola! 🇵🇪 We're getting to the end of my meals in Peru🙈 On our last day in Lima, Peru, we spent the day on the beach and walking around Miraflores. It was extremely hot and I'm definitely imagining the feeling of the sun on my skin again ☀️ During our walk we stopped by a @BesoFrancesCreperia stand. We got the 𝙉𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙖 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙚 which was a crepe filled with ice cream, brownie, strawberries and banana🍌🍓🍫🍦 it was just as delicious as it sounds 😋😋

Empanadas - I love you so much 🥰 after a gorgeous day of biking along the coast, we went to @BuenaVistaCafe.Peru 🇵🇪 which is a gorgeous cafe overlooking the ocean 🌊. We snacked on a couple empanadas (love). One was beef and one was chicken. Both were delicious but I burnt my tongue on the beef one 😂

🍔🍔 Wow - so by now you must know I'm a burger fanatic. I love trying different types of burgers. Here we are at @JuicyLucyPeru in Miraflores, Lima🇵🇪! The burgers here are amazing. We got them to-go, with some pop corn chicken and brought it back to our hotel to watch some Netflix and drink wine on our hotel room patio (yup - our hotel room was the top floor suite with a private patio area). We got the Benedictina and the Juicy Lucy, both huge and so juicy! Reviews below:
𝘽𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙖 - This burger had a fried egg, tocino, cheddar cheese, tomato, lettuce, and some benedict sauce. So good! Best burger I had in Peru. It was a LOT to eat - but well worth it.
𝙅𝙪𝙞𝙘𝙮 𝙇𝙪𝙘𝙮 - The Juicy Lucy burger has a beef patty stuffed with cheese🧀, swiss cheese, onion rings, tomato, lettuce, and Lucy mayo. I had a bite of this burger and it was also amazing. I think I liked it more than my burger. Very flavorful!
𝙋𝙤𝙥 𝘾𝙤𝙧𝙣 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙣 - Basically just regular pop corn chicken with a side of Lucy mayo. These were good, the mayo was yummy - definitely didn't need to order it if we knew the size of the burgers in advance!
If you're in Lima looking for a burger joint, go here!
Bonus Review: in the top left corner you'll see a bottle with a yellow drink in it. That's 𝙄𝙣𝙘𝙖 𝙆𝙤𝙡𝙖. Inca Kola is a Peruvian pop that's very popular in Peru. I tried it and it tastes like bubble gum - not a big fan, but you should try this if you come to Peru 🇵🇪

I'm addicted to Peruvian ceviche 😛🇵🇪 It's so good. Here we are, back in Lima, the Gastronomical Capital of Latin America! I seriously LOVE the food in Lima. Here we are at @MangosRestaurante in Larcomar, facing the ocean 🌊 In order:
𝘾𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙞𝙭𝙩𝙤 - This was absolutely delicious 👌🏼 It has fish, shrimp, squid, and onions in a refreshing citrus-y tiger's milk sauce. The fish and seafood tasted so good, especially on a hot day like this one. The roasted sweet potato on the side was the perfect compliment to the ceviche! Highly recommended this dish.
𝙏𝙖𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙩𝙤𝙨 - Our appetizer, this was pretty good too! No meat, just pickled veggies, roasted veggies, guac, and sour cream.
𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙢𝙤𝙣 𝘾𝙪𝙧𝙧𝙮 - Wow. The grilled salmon and veggies were good but the highlight of the dish was the coconut curry cream to pour onto the rice and salmon. It was amazing, it had the right hint of coconut and the most amazing curry flavor. A must try!
Did the order of pics a little different for this post 🇵🇪 The first pic is the gorgeous view of #PlazaDeArmas from the balcony of #LaEstanciaAndina Restaurant. It was such a beautiful and sunny day. We spent most of the day walking around Cusco and San Blas, we figured it was a good time to stop for some fries and Pisco Sours 🥰🍹 This restaurant has a great view from the top floor balconies, but we weren't feeling the menu too much. Our Pisco Sours were delicious though 😛
Hola #AguasCalientes 👋🏼🇵🇪🍔 after #MachuPicchu we bused back to Aguas Calientes for some dinner before getting on the train back to #Ollantaytambo . There isn't a lot to do here except grab a bite to eat because there are a ton of restaurants all bunched in the same area. We decided on Orquidea's Grill because it had an upper patio area with couches and the menu was decent. Looking now, it has a really bad rating on Trip Advisor. The burger was not that tasty, it wasn't horrible but pretty meh. The patty didn't have much seasoning, the spam, bacon, cheese, and egg helped though. Our Pisco Sours were normal though 🤷🏻♀️😂
It's with much excitement that we announce the latest addition to our Beyond Mexico tours. In June we'll be packing our bags and heading off on a once in a lifetime adventure to witness the annual rebuilding of the last Incan rope bridge. A magnificent work of communal art along an ancient Incan pathway, the bridge made of woven grass in one of the only ones left of its kind. We will witness the rebuilding of this bridge. We cut grass and learn to twine rope and we will meet the men and women, dressed in their beautiful traditional clothing, who keep this bridge alive and there's more. Read all about it on our blog and if you want to join the fun then you can make the most of our lovely EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT until April 4th, 2020.
🇵🇪ᴍᴀᴄʜᴜ ᴘɪᴄᴄʜᴜ🇵🇪 (swipe to see the crazy view ➡️) we took the #PeruRail to Aguas Calientes and it was one of the best decisions we could've made. Not only was it nice in the train, the view the entire way was beautiful. We had some 𝐏𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 (yes, again) on the ride. It was very relaxing. Machu Picchu itself is AMAZING. It's so breathtaking and looks unreal 🥰😍⛰️⛰️
🇵🇪 This was somewhere in between Pisac and Ollantaytambo. While in Peru, I told myself I'd try 𝐂𝐮𝐲 (guinea pig) and I even had the restaurant I wanted to try it at written down and even walked past it three times (it's in San Blas). I'm usually adventurous with food but the rainy Cusco weather had my stomach in knots most days to start with so I could not get the appetite to eat this and feel like I could give it a real chance. Basically, I chickened out. If it was safe to eat in Lima, I would have, but it's not as popular there, therefore not as fresh or good to eat. It apparently taste just like rabbit, which I have tried, so I've like half tried it? 😂😂
Mmm, I am not a huge ice cream person but sometimes I crave it, especially when the weather is beautiful! In Cusco 🇵🇪 there were some hot days and I had to grab some frozen treats. The first one is a 𝐋𝐮𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐚 𝐌𝐢𝐱 𝐈𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐁𝐚𝐫. If you guys look back at my fruit tasting post, Lucuma by itself wasn't the most flavorful or best tasting fruit, but it's one of the most popular ice cream flavors in Peru. It's actually SO good in ice cream! The second is basically a Drumstick. It's the 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐨 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐨 𝐝𝐞 𝐀𝐲𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐨, and this was filled with chocolate inside and had a chocolate cone. Super yummy. I'm pretty sure Frio Rico is owned my Nestle. Delicioso helado 🍨🍨

#travelblogger . 💝 #instagramer#viajeros#machupichu#visitperu#visitmachupichu#voyage#vallesagradotrip#perutour#viagem#viaggiostupendo#traveller#artesaniasperuanas
