Spent the day monkeying around at my favorite place in Philadelphia 🐒

I feel like I’m going to start becoming a regular 🙃 Also obsessed with my Valentine’s Day gift to myself, the DLXR Sling Bag from @hexbrand ♥️ Check out @getgoingphoto ‘s story for some content of my new bffs & look out for a #philadelphiazoo highlight 😁
I love when strangers either are cool with me taking their pictures or actually ask me to take their pictures. A different kind of fun when you have that freedom. In this first shot, since he allowed and eventually wanted me to shoot it, I had to make it work and took the shot as someone was walking directly behind the tree, and low enough to have his leg block the couple sitting behind his left knee..
I don’t get to post a lot of what I shoot these days because I don’t want to hear what y’all have to say about me taking pictures of what I see every day living in my neighborhood or because the person who I shoot asks me not to put it on the Internet - but I wanted to share a story real quick.. I was walking home after work last week and this lady yelled at me from across the street to come over to her. I was hesitant, almost certain it would be drug-related, but stated that she always sees me with my camera and that she wanted me to take her picture. Without a breath in between the sentences, she also asks me if I use dope. I joke, saying “I wouldn’t be able to afford to do that and still shoot film.” We laughed together for a second before exchanging hugs. She introduces herself as michelle and says that she is feeling pretty low, basically the lowest in her life, and she wanted to document it. She stated she wanted me to take it so when we run into each other next, it can be a reminder, or a motivator. She asked if I would please not post it online, but wanted to see it as soon as I got it developed. I often stop to talk the people going in my neighborhood, whether they’re neighbors, homeless, using drugs, or all. We get to bond over me carrying my camera or when they see me take a picture and they want to know what made me shoot it. I guess I just wanted to say this because I hope you all know the importance that individuals find in you taking the time to talk to them and show respect. I hope that those people who carry cameras in places and times like that are making sure to get to know people in the neighborhoods they live in or invade to take photographs. Idk, some people just want an ear, or some respect, and you should always consider having that.
Our favorite time of year is just around the corner and we are already prepping. St. Patrick’s Day may be 27 days away, but we will be partying all month. Keep an eye out for all of our Pre-Paddy’s events ☘️

Eagles 2020 Free Agents: Stay or Go?
Corey Clement (RB):
After eclipsing 100 scrimmage yards on Super Bowl Sunday a few years back, expectations reached an all-time high for Corey Clement, an undrafted rookie running back. Not many, if anyone at all, projected Clement’s production to dip in years two and three, but injuries and the talent that caused him to go undrafted caught up to Clement.
In those two years since surprising everyone, Clement has played in just 15 games and saw his yardage totals plummet as a result. Not only that, he’s fumbled a combined six times — something alone that should be a major cause for concern.
There are plenty of names at the running back spot that should interest the Eagles this offseason — many of which are much more deserving than Corey Clement.

A few weeks ago in class, my professor said, "fail fast, fail frequently". I immediately wrote this down and have been thinking about what he said ever since.
I think we can all admit that we are scared to fail, but why? I know for a fact that some of the biggest lessons I've learned were because I failed...BIG TIME. Obviously no one enjoys failing; it hurts our self-esteem. I found this quote in a book I'm reading that says "it is possible to avoid failure, to always be safe. But that is also the route to a dull, uninteresting life," and WOW this did this hit hard.
Feeling inspired to fail more after reading that quote; after all, I don't want to play it safe.
