A professional portrait is KEY 🔑 to your branding. Imagine when a potential customer views your social, website or Linked In profile. What's their first impression? A great portrait photo can paint the picture of who you are and what you stand for.
"Honestly, Dad? I still don't know if I can trust you."
Brisbane Supanova is soon upon us, and a big thank you to those of you that have booked in shoots with me. I'm looking forward to working with and shooting everyone in their amazing cosplays.
Here's a shot I captured last year, of @carcali_cosplay as Lorna Dane from House of M.
With Brisbane Supanova less than a week away, time to post a totally unrelated non-cosplay photo.
Next year, I'm aiming to venture away from cosplay photography a little and put more work into portraits. Heres a nice portrait shot I captured at Abbey Medieval Festival this year.
I remember my first Abbey Medieval Festival as a photographer, I was just taking as many photos as I could. So many of those now make me cringe to look at. I'm now finding myself walking away with fewer images, but what I do take is now a much higher quality.
Quality over Quantity!

A few weekends ago we popped down to the annual German Car a Day event for a look around. The morning began with a quick pre-meet with the @mclubperth, several nice M cars out to play!
Just some recent captures from my trip to the Gold Coast, where do you want to visit most? 👇

Me trying to be fly AF while @nathanwodson takes my photo in a carpark while some maintenance man looks at us strangely.
Getting over my fear of posing in public is something I really need to re-work on. I used to be SO okay with it in our travel photo days, I mean heck max and I set up a tripod at the Eiffel Tower and floated around in front of it like it was nothing 😂 I’ve been on beaches with hundreds of people and just popped up the tripod to snap a shot.
But after not doing it for so long, and I guess spending so much time BEHIND the camera, that confidence has slowly faded away 😂
I think the thing we have to remind ourselves is that we think people will care, but honestly even if they look at what you’re doing they will probably forget about it two seconds later.
Anyone else have trouble posing in public?
