I just received this beautiful bouquet from @jmillerflowers on #piedmontavenue#oakland sent to me by a family member on the east coast. She spoke to a very helpful lady there who promised a “beautiful bouquet” and they delivered. #flowers
We may not have the parades and block parties this year, but that's no reason to wear the same old SIP outfit day after day. Shop with us this week (don't forget your mask!) and save 50% on any item that is red, white or blue.
SHOP • SMALL
Many people now dread the long grocery store lines and feel the 1-2 week delays of online orders. We say shop small and shop local for your daily necessities!

I love this Landmark theater, located on Piedmont Avenue, near the Oakland Hills (a charming district of yummy restaurants, like @commisrestaurant , @thewolfoakland (formerly Baywolf), @homesteadoakland , @donaoakland and unique stores like @mercyvintage , @piedmont_fabric@bluebottle@peetscoffee@lushgelato ). This neighborhood gem showcases a wide variety of art-house, foreign and indie films. The poster art (by Sawyer Studios), along with the woman's fashion style, caught my eye (are they Wayfarers, Persol or Verniers?). I wanted to capture a picture---but, these two dudes were an obstruction! Solution, invite them to "photobomb" it! Unbeknownst to me, five years later, as I was watching PBS, I learned that the gentleman on the left is Stanley Nelson, Jr., its prominent director/producer and Peabody Award winner. This documentary premiered at the 2015 Sundance Festival and won the Special Jury Prize and is currently streaming on PBS and Prime.

Welcome back! We opened our Piedmont Ave store in March and were forced to close our doors after only a week, so are excited to open our doors again. We have put new policies and practices into place to keep everyone safe, including requiring masks for everyone in the store, hand sanitizer for all, social distancing and a new cleaning regimen.
The wait is over! This Friday, we will be re-opening our store on Piedmont Avenue. ⠀
We will limit the number of people allowed in the store at once to adhere to social distancing standards. To ensure the health and safety of our employees and customers, employees will be wearing face coverings and we ask that customers wear face coverings as well.
