“ To meditate, only you must smile. Smile with face, smile with mind, and good energy will come to you... Even smile in your liver. “
Haven’t stopped smiling since I arrived! The mountains, the way the sun and snow co-exist ... it makes me so happy it’s hard to put into words. Thankfully I have the beautiful and talented @elisegiordano to capture this energy in a single photo. And thank you @eddiebauer for this incredible gift!
So if we would want to describe a style-moment of movement (in the how-meaning), probably it would be something like: it is made of one piece, it is one unit, seamless, nothing is out of place, it is the right thing in the right moment, you dont feel like you could add anything to it or change something about it, it is done, it is complete, it is satisfying.
This „being of one piece“ is to be found everywhere. Most obviously in all arts. In music it is called harmony, and it means that tones are in concord with each other and work together as one (i guess it is roughly like that. Im a music muggle though).
And of course it is just the same in movement. When all parts that make up a movement work together in the right way, the outcome will be one unit. This is the case when we zoom in, into a „single“ movement“ and also when we zoom out to see a whole run, „multiple“ movements. You could say, a run is just a long trick. Or a trick is a short run.
So oneness can be seen in the physically hardest as well as the physically easiest movements. It can be seen in big coloured paintings aswell as in pencil sketches.
A lazy can be executed with an equal amount of oneness, as a cast gainer.
Simple melodies can have the same degree of harmony and be just as satisfying to listen to, as complex compositions.
There can be multiple layers of oneness. For example a painting can have oneness of colours and of composition and of story-telling e.g. (the portrayed story is told in a perfectly smooth manner).
Movement of course can also have multiple onenesses united into one oneness.
For example: There can be a technically perfect executed run (so all physical necessities, such as force, timing, etc work together harmoniously as one), but the run is also perfectly molded into a spot (so the skillset of the mover and the spot complement each other harmoniously). But there might also be missing something. E.g. movement could lack soul, because the movement and the individuality of the mover are not one.
This post i think also shows a crossover oneness between two different „tricks“, music and movement makes it one, further amplified by the cameramotion.
