Common Name - Variegated Water Willow,Variegated Gandarus
A small, erect, fast-growing, branched shrub with attractive, lanceolate (shaped like a lance-head), ascending to spreading variegated leaves in shades of green, white and grey, and produces dainty white flowers.
It prefers light, sandy soil in sun or partial shade. Likes constant moisture and well draining soil. Fast-growing, tolerable to many soil types and growth conditions, and generally free from pest and diseases. Propagate by stem cuttings and seeds. Prick out seedlings into individual pots when established enough to handle.

🌟 EASY CHICKPEA TOMATO RISOTTO 🌟
one of my absolute fav comfort classics is a risotto, and it will forever be a recurring thing on my feed - i just can’t get enough of it😫 (legit in the middle of cooking one as i post this), i keep making these single serve ones when i experiment with flavours to see if i like the combo but you can ofc double/triple etc to make as many portions as you want!
✨ 1/2 onion, diced
✨ cherry tomatoes, halved
✨ small garlic clove, minced
✨ 70g risotto rice
✨ dried rosemary & basil (sauté 3 mins)
✨ 1/2 can chopped tomatoes
✨ 1 pint of veg stock
✨ unsweetened plant milk (cook 45-50 mins)
✨ 1/2 lemon, juice of
✨ small can of washed & drained chickpeas (or 1/2 a can of any beans)
✨ frozen peas
✨ tahini, to serve
🍽 sauté the onion until soft, then add in the cherry tomatoes & garlic and sauté for a couple or so mins
🍽 add the rice and herbs & sauté for another 3 mins
🍽 add in the chopped tomatoes, & a splash of veg stock and bring to boil
🍽 reduce to simmer, when the liquid has mostly evaporated add more veg stock to cover, stir and keep repeating this until the rice is soft [ie add stock, stir, add stock, stir...] - this should take about 40-50 mins
🍽 add a good splash of plant milk, the lemon & peas and continue to cook until thickened again
🍽 serve with tahini on top & enjoy !!!!

2 cups almond milk⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2 mashed bananas⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 cup frozen mixed berries⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 tsp baking powder⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1/2 tsp cinnamon⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
••• bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
••• top with non dairy yogurt for that extra WOW 👅

🌟 MINI MOCHA BANANA BREAD LOAF 🌟
so like this was one of the FUDGIEST things i’ve ever had ?!??? legit one of my proudest creations🥺 adapted from my mini banana bread loaf from my ebook but i feel obliged to share the recipe with you as it was SO good? but if you make this and like it be sure to check my ebook from my bio as it has a lot of v similar recipes!
✨ 2/3 cup oats
✨ 1 large banana
✨ 1 tbsp cocoa powder
✨ 1/2 coffee sachet
✨ vanilla essence
✨ 2 tbsp erythritol
✨ 1/3 cup coconut milk
✨ squeeze of lemon
✨ 1 tbsp flax
✨ baking powder
✨ baking soda
~> preheat oven fan 180°C
~> blend the oats to form a flour and move into a large bowl
~> blend the banana through to the lemon ingredients to form a smooth liquid
~> whisk the oat flour with the remaining ingredients (flax, through to baking soda)
~> whisk the banana mylk mixture with the dry (it will be v runny!)
~> bake 30 mins in a mini silicone loaf tin / lined normal one
i served mine with a DIY coffee custard thing (warmed up alpro vanilla pot with the remaining coffee from the sachet) and some frozen grapes !! yum !!

happy friday, my beautiful friends! fueling up for a morning of review with this cozy bowl and coffee before my final exam for my summer course! 📚 so pumped to have an entire month off before my last semester of undergrad begins in September! 😳
looking forward to a weekend filled with lots of family time and some pre-birthday celebrations 💃

double chocolate chia protein oatmeal:
•bring about 3/4 cup of liquid (water, nut milk, etc) to a boil on the stovetop
•add in 1/3 cup @bobsredmill#glutenfree rolled oats, stir, and reduce the heat
•gradually stir for a few minutes, then add a sprinkle of @simplyorganicfoods cinnamon and a tsp of chia seeds
•once the oats are cooked, remove from heat and add in 1 scoop of @ancientnutrition chocolate plant protein and 1 tbsp @navitasorganics cacao powder
•transfer to your bowl!
•I paired it with banana slices, frozen #organic raspberries, hemp seeds, and a glob of @eatfatso peanut butter

Baked a batch of BEET falafel and built a bowl with them for today’s lunch! Starring freshly made hummus and all the goodies: arugula, baby spinach, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, broccoli sprouts, Kalamata olives, sesame seeds, hemp seeds, tahini dressing (always), and some rice crackers for dipping. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Nourishing, simple, and lots of plants (9 in the falafel alone + 8 new ones in the bowls) - perfect lunch!
