So happy I made the large macrame plant hanger with twisted detail for myself to keep! 🌱 My spider plant has been living in it ever since I got him 😊 What plant would you put in this hanger? #spiderplant#etsylisting

Pumpkin towers! We had so much fun creating these fun towers last night, it was dark by the time we finished! In years past we have created our own with topiaries and wrapped copper, but this year we added an assortment of gourds and baby pumpkins to these obelisk we already had. Added some blue and purple kale to the base to help complete the look. Thank you to Atlas Farms for the beautiful pumpkins 🎃! #gloriousgardens@atlas_farms
Framed those records I was talking about. All I can think when I look at this wall is why in hell didn’t I do it sooner!? A perfect way to add a little bit of your character to a space without breaking the bank 👌🏼✨ #vinylcollection
Fun Fact: The flowers and berries of the elderberry plant are are packed with antioxidants and vitamins that help to boost your immune system, as well as tame inflammation, lessen stress, and even protect your heart. It is often taken as a supplement or can be drank in tea or juice form and is a great way to ease and prevent cold and flu symptoms.
Ready to decoupage and make succulent pumpkins this weekend at our open house? The decoupage pumpkin station is open all day Saturday and Sunday (just pay for the pumpkin, and the rest of the materials are free) and we’ll be making succulent pumpkins together on both days from 12-1. We can’t wait to see what everyone makes! .
Mumma Pilea is pretty overloaded with her four pups. It will be time to cut the apron strings soon! A lovely sunny day in Cornwall today, but sadly I’ve only been able to admire it through my window...work, work and more work! I really hope we get at least one dry day this weekend, even if the sun doesn’t shine. Wishing you a good rest of the week. I’m hoping I might get a more interesting photo up at the weekend!
An excerpt from The China Study on the relationship between cows milk consumption during infancy and type 1 diabetes. Makes a lot of sense! Reading this book again because it is so much to remember and take in.
we met during the summer
back when life felt all rosy
i turned blush pink as i took a sip of cider
while you talked about your dreams
but as the weather started getting colder
so did you

Calathea beauty star babe 💫 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you are wondering the difference between a beauty star and a Calathea ornata, it’s in the variegation in the leaves. 😍 #gorgeous 🌿

I still feel like I have too many plants, no matter how many I sell but then I sell them and I feel like I need to fill their gaps 😪

My newest baby. How gorgeous is this? I can’t get over the size!
The incredibly easy to care for and propagate #hatioragaertneri or #eastercactus . A little Caterpillar atta ked it a few months back and ate several parts of leaves, we moved and it sent the guy into shock. He is slowly revovering and I cant wait to see it flower again soon. It has so much new growth.
The leaf of Begonia brevirimosa ssp. exotica that I propagated developed a nice shoot now with pretty colored small leaves. This species is one of the cane/shrub like Begonias that can be propagated via leaves without stem sections. Many cane Begonias however need a piece of the stem for successful propagation.
The mother plant of this cutting is quite large but for some reason isn't doing that well. I think it might be the mold that was in the soil that is weakening the plant.
@homesteadbrooklyn was in the house this morning! 👏🏼👏🏼 I’ll always remember that a few years ago I saw a viral video on Facebook about ‘Brooklyn woman who lives with 600+ plants’ and I forwarded it to all of my friends (to prove that I wasn’t crazy having 100 😂)... Today I got to meet her, Summer, who has since then become a famous YouTuber and author! My apartment will be featured on her YouTube channel as an episode of ‘Houseplant Home Tour’. Stay tuned and check out her new book ‘How to Make a Plant Love You’ 🥳🤩😇🎉
I love all the different angles each leaf is taking, with the newest leaf finding its place as it fills in the gap between the two larger leaves. This growth pattern reminds me how beautiful it is when people can grow together, make room for new friends, new coworkers, new people who are looking to be a part of something. Friends, let’s not forget to look for the “newbie” who’s trying to find a home and a place and let’s welcome them in, lest we forget that was once us.💛
